Ooh I cannee wait. Will be there on Henrietta, even if she does need a bit of make up. I shall have my sparky sliders on so I want some cool photos please!
I'll probably be bringing my mate Shaun as well on his nimble Zephyr! Should be a wicked day out as long as the weather stays with us.
What is it with you lot and early starts! You dont gain anything at all what so ever. Still, if all planets are in alignment, and the sun is shining, myself and verna will be at the chalet by about 9.30ish i reckon.
Where abouts on the coast you heading for?

you can come to the chalet later instead. we kept the boxhill meeting point in case some people didn't know where the chalet is.

For those that can't cope with getting up quite that early we will be stopping off for brekkie at The Chalet in Cowfold and will probably be there until 9:45ish

lol, not much point in me getting out of bed just to go to Newlands.
Have voted yes now to the rideout. Better set my alarm clock.
East Wittering has sandy beaches but you have to pay, West wittering is a stoney beach and you could prolly get away with not paying. Obviously the sandy beach will be busier.

Plus sand gets everywhere!!

I'm not following 'him' unless he wears some clothes this time. I'm sure there are still marks on my seat!
I think stoney beaches are better for bikers, you can't feel a thing with boots on, plus you won't get sand on your helmet..........:safe: :smt031

it's ok you won't be able to see eviltwin's bum because i will be sitting behind him!
For the MWKs; what time is it finishing up approx - and how many miles is it?
EDIT: PS - What seaside is it too?

seems like noone is keen on a sandy beach so it'll be East Wittering.
not positive on finishing time or mileage yet, though at a guess i'd say lunchtime and 120 miles. the finish time is v dependant on how long we spend at the stops. sorry for being so vague. i will have a go at calculating the mileage in a bit
ok, looks like mileage is 140 miles starting from boxhill and ending at newlands corner.

I've had a think and I'm afraid I won't be able to make it this time. It's just a little too early for me. I have a wedding to goto on Saturday so want to be able to have a few shandies and not have to worry about getting up that early. Enjoy the ride girls and boys, I'll be doing my own rideout a little later on in the day.
woohoo, looks like it's gonna be :sunny: on sunday
Whatyoutalkinboutsarah...it'll still be dark when you lot meet ;)

Sssh. I'll get scared. I'll see how many drinksI have on Saturday night. My wife is not feeling too well so I might be along but will see how it goes.:(
Been watching the weather repots and it doesn't look great. Possibility of showers according to GMTV, but then what do they know!!?

Sorry this is late but I'm gonna give tomorrow a miss. Just traded my bike in for a new one which I pick up week after next and I don't want to tempt fate so as a result all non essential trips are cancelled for me. Have a good ride out everyone. :(

It sure was an awesome day out. Slept for about 3 hours when I got home. Was nice to meet you Sosha even though we didn't talk much. Was good to go out riding with some new peeps as well. I hope my hooliganism didn't put any one off. :-dd On the way back I was (almost) too tired to even bother with kneedowns. Almost.

Hey Hey! Was great to meet some of you guys yesterday- looks like I timed my ride nicely to hook up at Newlands (compleat coincidence). You all looked suitably sweaty and knackered!
I did the road from Dorking through Ranmore to the A246 to get there- first time and really loved it. Far quieter and twistier than the A25. No overtaking issues at all!
Maybe I'll be able to afford enough fuel for a decent sized rideout soon, once the bike itself stops costing a fortune...

What a great day Sunday was! a great ride, great weather and great company. Was knackered at the end of it (even towards the end of the ride) but worth it.
A big thumbs up for Sarah for organising it
I got up at a sensible time, and went for my own ride. It was great at for asking :)
Yer great rideout though knackered at the end!
Was good to meet you Sosha and Thedonal and all the other usual mob.
Was a good rideout. free brekkie, ice cream at the beach. :D
Nice to meet a few new faces, and the usual suspects.

Apparently, dirtydog used to prefer assessing you on the SV - I'm sure he mentioned something about the upright seating position of the zed spoiling something to do with rear profiling or balancing or...or something...or...yup I'm going now

i was v slow and cautious. i haven't managed to do many miles since passing my test and i'm still pretty rubbish. i can make the bike stay the right way up etc but i've not got the confidence to do anything remotely quickly yet. i just need to practice...

It makes perfect! I've always fancied being an observer etc but I'd get bored half way through and want to tear off and scare some pidgeons/old ladies.

I sometimes help out my mate who runs a training school. Believe it or not I've helped him out on rides (usually refresher rides for old geezers). It's quite fun but scary, especially when they want to join a motorway at 25mph and you are shouting down the mic at them to shift it! He wants me to work part time for him teaching CBT's but I love my weekends way too much and I can't stand gobby little 17 year olds.:geek:
Please stop derailing this thread.
All talk of Sarah's riding skills on Friday/Saturday should go here (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=90905).
This is a public service announcement. Thank you.

Why the hell do I have to be on that shiny so called motorcycle?? :-s Surely being on a Harley is bad enough punishment without me being on it as well.
