They do it because it's cool to be lying around in hospital for months, having skin grafts to cover up areas of gravel-rashed skin.

I was watching a vid online the other day, and the bloke came off doing a wheelie-didn't seem majorly fast, but he was wearing shorts. The camera zoomed on on him after and he was on the floor screaming in agony as his legs/knees had been ground down pretty far.

makes me cringe to imagine what my arms/knees/face would look like if i hadn't been wearing a proper jacket/trousers/fullface helmet when i was knocked off the bike a couple of weeks ago.
