I did Bikesafe with Essex last year and thought it was good fun and good value, I've since done an IAM test. They give you lots of information on training and I did mine as a full time course rather than through the local group although I have now joined.
Enjoy the day.
Booked mine today for May 19th with the Met.
What I cant quite figure out is why the Mets costs £30 but Kents is £55. Other than force charging policy its basically same course.

I was told last year that the course varies from force to force, I guess a lot of the difference is down to how they administer the day. If a police building is used they may or may not charge for it's use if it's someone elses then a charge will be made. Essex included lunch within the price other forces don't.

Lunch is included with the mets. I noted Sussexs' was £55 but included a copy of roadcraft manual.

I did a bike safe with Essex last year. I think it was £60 then, and inlcded lunch (fish + chips) at the Cabin, in Burnham.
Bike safe was a good day, learned a lot, and will do another this year probably .

Bikesafe is a good taster. Sign up for the IAM's Skills for Life package afterwards. If you're south-east-ish of the river, I thouroughly recommend London Advanced Motorcyclists (LAM).
