2. Where in Scotland (Glasgow Area) is the best and cheapest place to have your blackbird serviced?
3. Where is the best place to purchase and fit BT020's / BT021's in Scotland (Glasgow Area)?
4. When installing heated grips OR an autocom system, whats the best igintion-live power cable to connect these devices too for the blackbird?
(looking for colour and location of cables)
5. Can you recommend a good owners manual/book for the blackbird that gives you all the technical stuff about the bike with the "best top 10 how to's" etc...get mee drift...
6. Can ANYONE put me in the direction of a SATNAV holder that fits onto the blackbird? I have a Navman F20 and trying to find someone that supplies Universal SATNAV holders designed for motorbikes?
7. Where can i purchase a new engine casing for the left hand side of the bike? (The big shiny part that sticks out from the fairing)

Try the CBR Forum (http://www.cbr-forum.org.uk/index2.php), they have a Blackbird section too.

1. Where is the best place to ask questions about a Honda CBR1100XX?
Eemmmm....... On a Honda Forum perhaps? Although not exclusively, MOST of the peeps on here own Suzuki SV650s of one flavour or another.

Cronos has a Blackbird... But I'm not sure how actively he's reading these forums.
For Honda servicing, Two Wheels are dynamite but in Edinbgurgh unfortunately. That tyre place in Comrie, is it Strathallen, Strathearn tyres, always get great reviews from the guys on here, but I'm not sure how their pricing is on 020s etc.

You it seems would be an exception  ;)
Mods don't need to read everything, if there's a problem someone'll usually make them aware...

Two wheels are great and the roads to Edinburgh are cracking - just an excuse to go out and see them!
The big one in Glasgow is Devines (doh) though you get what you get there.

not heard ANY gd feedback from victor devines in glasgow!
on here or anywhere!
the place just seems totaly un-intrested in bikers...
even spending large amounts of cash in there doesn't improve your status with them...
and its the only showroom i know where you can't sit on the bikes unless you have put a 50% deposite on the bike...
they quoted me on saturday for a New set of BT021's -
Rear Tire - £120
Front Tire - £80
Fitting - £55+
Total Cost - £255 (min)
think i will be phoing tyretech again!

Yup, never heard a good word about them! You need to buy the bike to get a test ride! I think one of the reasons they are arrogant Sonofabehatches is they have NO competition.
You could plump for North Harbour in Ayr. Solus Honda mob. Not a bad run from where you are and not a bad bike to do it on!
Welcome to the world of big capacity IL4 tyre and chain eaters!!!;)

Never had any problems with Devines personally. Whilst I don't particularly see that their "Do Not Sit On This Bike" policy is justified right enough:hackedoff: , any time I've bought clothing, helmets, parts or chatted about new or used bikes, it's been a pleasant experience.
What is a lot of money to some is nothing to others. The garage service and supply bikes to Strathclyde Police and Glasgow City Council amongst many others- just don't expect them to drop at your feet if you express interest in a new Hornet for example.
A good mate of mine was remembered in good detail very early into a conversation after not even having been on a bike for more than a decade.:thumright:
Another vote for Two Wheels from here too.

I went to Devines on the SV and when i had a look around at their bikes they didnt come near me
I went back in last week whilst at work (wearing a suit) and they were all over me like a rash
Take from that what you may

As for not getting test rides or getting to sit on the bike.... Mickey Oates is the same:smt067
