i have a k5 pointy and yesterday was doing bit of m way and i felt the clutch slipping loads..... bike has done 20,000 on it now.
how easy is it to change the clutch plates?? any pics please on how to do it would be appreicated.

or shall i just get a garage to fit em?

Search for clutch adjustment, Sid Squid has put up a very good guide, it's unlikely to be the plates (but not impossible).

Either way it's not a terribly hard job (Tricker on the pointies as you need to drain the coolant as the right hand engine case is single piece)

+1 unless ya been clutchin up wheelies, theres no way the SV clutch needs more than an adjustment after only 20k
