Heres a fun one for you, Just wondering, how many people talk to themselves in their helmets when they are out and about?
i will admit sometimes i do, especially if another road user does something stupid ill have a natter to my self or if i am seriously bored, then i was playing music in there instead to stop possible madness lol,
anyone else?? . . . i hope lol,:D

Hehe, I do.
Especially if I've done something I'm proud of.
I sing to myself too. Usually something by Shirley Bassey.
I was advised to do so as part of the IAM. It's sort of become a natural thing to do now.
If on a long trip then I'm prone to the odd song.
I won't ever be able to use autocom.

I tend to recite the Sonnets of Shakespeare. ;)
I frequently do a running commentary about what's going on around me as I'm riding.
Helps keep focus.

I 'coach' myself. With the odd 'yehaar!' type of comment thrown in

I talk to myself sometimes, especially if I've been riding like an idiot and making mistakes.

Guilty as charged, your honour. Talk to myself all the time, I find it helps keeping the voices quiet.

I do it a lot - especially when filtering, talking to car drivers (who can't hear me, but hey, whatever...), usually stuff like 'don't you sodding dare mate!' or 'i f***ing knew you were going to pull out!'.
On long journeys I have been known to sing to myself, but only at speeds where there is naff-all danger of anyone hearing me!

I have habbit of talking to myself and singing kinda loud and VERY out of tune!
Yep often moan at other drivers and sing to myself. Also some self praise for the good moments and some self telling off for the not so good moments :smt036

Mee too.
I also like to perfect my out of tune singing at the top of my lungs in true Les Dawson style but without the piano. :D

Probably because no-one knows if you're talking to yourself on the bike cos they can't sse your lips move :D
Mostly I sing old Rush songs like Red Barchetta, Tom Sawyer or The Trees. The most worrying bit is that I don't only the voice parts but the drum bits as well! There's also the occassional "Oh sh!t, Yeehaa or Stupid Assshole!" thrown in the mix too.

It looks like I've got all this to look forward to. Having said that, I talk to myself when driving sometimes ("You W***er", "don't you dare pull out", and quite often "please go green" ,which is usually followed by "GO GREEN YOU BA****RD!!!").
I'm higher up than most drivers (I drive a Land Rover) and so most other people can't see me talking to myself.:smt094
i seem to sing stone roses songs

Talk no.
Sing yes! Don't know why, it's usually Elvis.
Stranger still as I don't really like Elvis, 250 plus CDs at home and no Elvis.
Thank you... thankyou very much... uh hur hur

I think I do pretty much everything that people have mentioned so far.
Commentary, verbally talking through my "plan" if I'm negotiating something tricky, talking to other road users (ususally questions). These are all pretty much interlinked.
I also berate / congratulate / encourage myself and the odd "Hellloooo" to atractive looking pedestrians or drivers ;)
When coming round a corner onto a straight (ie, slip road on to a motorway) I often imagine I'm coming out of a pitlane and winding it on, trying to get ahead of whoever was on the track....8-[
Also, sometimes I'll be bimbling along, with lush fields on either side, sun warming my back, cornering going well, no cars around and I'll just go 'whoooooooo' (kind of like Ric Flair if you remember him?!). It's brilliant!
I just mumble madly... with the ocassional manic laugh.

Same, I find it helps keep my riding calm. I enjoy the odd song or two, especially a bit of Iron Maiden down the M1 - I'm glad no-one else can hear me!
It's when you start argueing with yourself you've got to worry...
Do you know any Kylie ;)

When you are singing to your helmet surely there is only one song - Gold Finger?
...sorry...:-dd

Um, I talk to myself pretty much constantly. 8-[ (Nutter alert!)
Yes, I am one of those looneys that you see in the street and cross over to avoid and the number of times I've been caught at home/in the office is crazy and it is always mortifyingly embarrassing but I just can't help it. :smt022
On the upside, I almost always get a seat to myself on the bus :)
On the bike however I will sing Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen when bored being as it is a long song and I know all the words somehow...

I do this too, except in a Loren from Catherine Tate style: 'a-rriiiight?'
Which also works well in bars, clubs and queues in supermarkets.

Don't the blokes get annoyed?
Mostly swearing at other road users and a lot of relieved giggling :smt101
Yes i do, mainly when trying to relax myself going into a corner or when a cage driver annoys me

I don't really talk to myself, more think to myself.
"Could have taken that corner a bit faster", "look at this kn*b", That sort of thing.
