I was stopped at some lights in the cage and this an amazing-looking bike pulled up next to me. I did a triple take, noticed it was a BMW, then it roared off and I raced after it (in a Ford Ka haha) drooling all the way. My god it was a good looking bike! I have just found what it was on the internet: a K1200R. It is such a shame it is a 4-pot, I was hoping it would be a twin. Imagine if that was a twin 1200!!? Who says BMWs are boring!

I've had a go on one. It would be what I would buy if I went back to 'normal' bikes. It pulls like a twin, sort of.

Once read it described as "looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger wearing a monocle and carrying a slim book of verse" which I thought was spot on!

Made my shortlist when I bought the SV but I was about 6 grand short...

Have a google about - there are some wicked modded versions around. Very sci-fi. Isnt it suppose to be the most powerful naked on the market? Though I would also prefer the S model myself.

163 horses IIRC. Just about enough lol. That description is hilarious and spot on!

Now if only they swapped out the standard headlight for something more "slot-like"

Would end up with something like this

It did go quick, but never having ridden a sports bike I'm unable to comment how it felt relatively. As such, it felt somewhat like being on a missile, I would imagine, and from real low down without wringing its neck.
