View Full Version : Breaking 2000 Curvy Black SV650
Electric Spaceman
25-04-07, 07:28 PM
I'm breaking a 2000 Curvey SV650S for bits. Anyone want any?
I had a low speed drop on the right side, so the right side front fairing, hanger and brake lever have had it, but pretty much everything else is good.
Ask on this thread for prices, or make me an offer. Alternatively zap me a PM.
Obviously I can sort photos out, and am happy to answer any questions.
Cheers,
Doug

Hey can you give me a price on some of these pieces? Also what about the forks?
How much for the speedo sender (sensor thing attached to the front wheel)?
Electric Spaceman

I've PM'd you a message Zerosignal. Looking for £80 for the forks, plus whatever P&P is (need to check).
Paul M - £25 for the Speedo Sensor, plus a couple of quid postage.

That's a little spendy for me as I don't actually know if my sensor isn't working, thought it would have been cheap enough to replace and see whether it works or not, but I guess I better do some investigating first.
Cheers.

Hi there joe. Only got braided hoses on the front I'm afraid. The rear caliper is servicable, but it needs a good cleaning and the front bleed nipple is snapped off. It can still be bled from the nipple on the back though. You can have it for £15 posted. I could sort you out a picture over the weekend if you want to take a look-see.

Hi Doug,
Aslong as the caliper is not seized, does not bind, the seals and pistons and all that guff are ok then cool, and pictures would be great yeah.
Cheers.

Where abouts are you located?
I need the frame, and presuming they are all 'straight' the entire front end (forks, front wheel, discs, yokes) and a right clipon. Probably a few other bits and bobs too :D

Hi Electric Spaceman,
I have just 'left-sided' my SV650S and was wondering if you had any of the following bits left?
Speed Sensor (The Hall Effect is no longer effecting!)
Left Front Indicator
Left Rear Indicator
Left Pillion Hanger and Footrest
Left Front footrest
Left Mirror
Front Wheel? - Somehow the rim made contact with the tarmac and got a little chewed up.
Many thanks,
Wizard

Glad you are up and running Wizard.

Pants38 and ntorrens: Think I can sort you both out with the parts. I'll check condition of the bits, and PM you over the weekend. Sorry I can't be of more immediate help. Just got in and I'm on my way straight back out now, and I can't get back to the garage for a couple of days.

Hello there all,
Sorry I haven't replied to this thread for a while. Been in Scotland for a few weeks, in the middle of Craik forest. No phone line there, let alone internet. Anyway, I'm done with the medieval peasant lifestyle for a while, so if anyone is still after any bits, let me know and I'll reply right away.

Part of stator/alternator unit, would consider taking whole side of engine if it was a runner and good money.
