Well, it's out. :D

Nero 3, which is basically Nero 2 with a new GUI. What do you get? Well, CD/DVD/Blu-ray/HD DVD.

How much does it cost? Baring in mind Burning Rom is Nero's premier product, well, it's free :)

So far it runs pretty nicely too. Haven't got any Blu-ray or HD discs to try it out with though :(

Just hope they don't overload it like they did on the Windows version. I think the term bloatware applies perfectly.

I have a healthy distain for most operating systems (and computers in general).

I tolerate Solaris as it pays the mortgage. :D

Aaaarrrhhhhhh! Solaris!

How about HP-UX or even AIX... Dynix/PTX maybe... lol.

Have supported AIX in the (distant) past.
I think 4.1 was the last version I supported.

Solaris 10 looks alright, just started working towards my certification.

Have to support some production services that are on GNU/Linux, don't like it.

and I have to put up with all of you geeks on a daily basis translating all the jargon you throw at me to a customer that only understands costs :D

Don't get me started on the size of my memory buffers and pinned memory limits.

Why is that then?

Grinch, you seen the tera-flop CPU design yet?

Two CPU's running on a shared L2 cache, the difference that makes it so fast? 16 operations/cycle instead of the usual 4.

I love this lark of confusing the non-geeks. For all they know, I could be talking about them ;)

For all the non-geeks out there: tera-flop means the CPU will crap out the wrong data four times as fast as a normal CPU.

Nope... can't be ****... Got to that point that I just don't care, it works and that all I worry about.

Thats the one... bloody applications.

You've got that right!
I would try Nero for Linux but my PC is essentially a propped-up toaster.
