I've jus had a call from Colin (Manager) of HG in Slough telling me my Kriega tail pack has arrived.

I want to use it on Sunday, and had little chance of picking it up on Saturday, but Kriega wanted £10 for next day delivery. To be fair, he did say it "may" be Saturday before it comes in, but I knew I could get there if I really had to, it was just a little inconvenient.

So, well done Colin, made a promise, kept to it, and has given me plenty of time to go and get it (I finish at 16:30 on Friday, so I'll get it after work). HG did charge full price (£55) but I don't mind when I good service, and of course, there's no carriage charge :D.

I've found that out of all the bike shops I frequest, Hein Gericke constantly comes out tops. I've used a few different branches and all of them have been stirling. Above and beyond expectations. Well done Hein Gericke.

They do have the best service in the area - no doubt. Saffa guy called Zak there has an SV - yellow neked. Also consistantly excellent service.

I know Zak, he was up the Ace one evening and he wanted to have a sit on my 'Blade (obviously has taste). He and Colin are both great and provide excellent customer service.

They did have a guy in there that didn't last very long, he kept trying to sell me stuff I didn't want, and his attitude "I know better", which to me, having 25 years plus in sales, was a problem, and I told him and Colin what I thought. So Colin obviously listens to feedback from customers too (although I couldn't have been the only one who complained).

I've used HG in Guildford as well (I think) who were very pleasant too.

Long way to go for good service, especially from Slough.

Closest HG to Guildford is in Farnborough. There is another motorcycle accessory shop in Guildford though.

HG Peterborough are great as well, I got some Oxford products replaced without the reciept, Karen remembered me buying Oxford luggage 2 years ago and sent my faulty stuff back to be exchanged.

I'm quite tempted with one of those myself.

Would you mind posting some pic's of it "on bike" when you get it please ?

TIA

HG sounds alot more freindly than J&S. I didnt like the lack of service J&S gave, nor the negative tone of voice when I asked about returns policy.

Grant,

If you have time, drop in and see Zak tomorrow as he told me this evening that he's back off to SA next week, and tomorrow is his last day.

Yeah, we kitted out Miss MiniMatt at HG Cheltenham the other week and the guy there (another Matt) was exceedingly helpful - we must have spent hours in there trying to find bits and bobs to fit; they even arranged for the Arai tech to come in a week later and do a proper fitting on her lid.
