I wandered around my uni today and got some pics with maria - and some pics of the ICP-AES instrument (used for analysing ion content in stuff, like water samples for example) and the NMR instrument (used for analysing all sorts, but mostly the structure of organic compounds)

Going to university and having big brains is all well and good, but it just goes to show that there is no substitute for good ol' common sense. It's all very well standing there smug thinking "that Nutkins is a thick ****", but it won't be my stuff in front of that two-bar electric heater that combusts and burns down the digs. I won't be the one with a cup full of cinders saying "Please Sir, can I analyse this using the fancy lab equipment? I think it's my Marshall".
Consider yourself told.
PS. Tell me those A4 folders belong to a girl and not you?
PPS. Nice Jacket. Keep it away from the two-bar.

The electric heater never gets used. Some quick maths by a freind told me that it was far too expensive to run for the heat it gave out!
Some of those folders are mine, some are maria's. I hate having all my work dotted all over the place, good organisation leads to good results (well, it has so far!)
Ta on the jacket, need to roll about a bit in the dust though..

Hovis, be quiet! I note how you've never posted a pic revealing your identity :p
Reason for orange coloured SV: Picture taken at night, more red light in the air (since the blue has been deflected away from the earth etc etc) so more red light made it into the camera.
Its yellow, but I think I prefer that orange colour...

Just use a bit of window cleaner on it. Arai probably wouldnt recommend it, but it is ok. Clean with some kitchen towel and its fine!
For bugs, use warm soapy water and let it soak a bit, when they are dry they might aswell have been chemically bonded to the visor they are so tough to get off
I clean my visor before every ride. Apparently baby wipes are good aswell!

Here's a pic of my SV as it is now, I had a go at Autosol'ing the downpipes - didnt come out too bad, but when I get some real time I'll have the belly pan off to get to it better.
Is it ok to use something rough to get off the worse of the corrosion? Wet and dry paper or something?

That's probably the best way to do it, else you'll be spending your life polishing out the proverbial turd... wet & dry to get the rough part out, then autosol the life out of it.

Just what I thought. I'll step to it when exams are done and I can spend a Kwak amount of time on it :D

Get one of them pan scourers, looks like a load of swarf. Have at it with that and then autosol. Note the professional bike cleaners seem to use power tools..........
