Hi all,
Been a member for a while now but as a newbie didn't really have much to say. Been riding for a under a year and have well and truly caught the bug. Have been out most of the weekend and enjoyed many country roads with a couple of mates.
Today i have accomplished wot to you may seem a little and simple thing to do but to me its a major step to becoming a real biker..... I've just fitted new spark plugs and checked me air box :D . The enjoyment i got was so great that hopefully i will be attempting my first oil change. Wish me luck.
Hope to join the forum more often now so see you all soon :smt039

Hello mate! Dosnt matter if you havn't got much to say, most of us talk complete crap anyway

Hey! Thats more than I've done; I checked my rad fluid levels and fitted a Givi Monorack all by myself. But I get my dad to do everything else (but I do try and learn with him) because he;s a qualified mechanic, he'll shout at me if I stuff it up!

Yellow curvy = good choice of machine

Bonjourno!

Oil (& filter) change is surprisingly easy to do! Get stuck right in!

Don't forget that used engine oil can be used on your compost heap! ;o)

probably.

Yeah, its a great feeling to realise you can do this stuff :)

My happy moments were - stripping the rear of the bike off for the 1st time (plastics)

Doing my screen and tail tidy - messing up by not connecting the CKT back up again, having the bike nearly kill me, but then fixing it myself.

Next project - a little electrical work - an alarm :)

*closes MSN quickly* :D Oh, and it's CKP :p (Yes, just in one of those moods today).

I was chuffed with myself changing the brake pedal over & fitting new rear pads tonight :) Wasn't going to do it until sat, but the bits had arrived, so I figured I'd have a crack.

I wish I was a bit more competent with nuts and bolts and wires and stuff. I usually call John, he's very kind and bloody good.

I don't mind dabbling when I've got time but I wont go near the brakes and suspension until I've got more confidence (a little nervous about f**king it up and killing myself).

So far i've fitted the full Acky system, the R&G bungs, clear rear light and the alarm. Makes ya feel a little more competant each time ya do something. Just got the undertray, led indicators and power commander to go!!

Chuffed to bits and a little surprised on how easy it was.
A Little too easy!!!
Don't know wot's next on the agenda, prob the front pads but thats not for a long time yet.

Oh, David/Soulkiss
An alarm, tell me how it goes and wot you got. Thinking of installing one in the near future as I'm moving soon and I ain't got the place for an anchor.
