Can't make any recommendations as far as Cardiff. However, I will make one recommendation for a place in Brecon, Don't go, the worst meal of my life. OK I know very useful as I don't even know what it was called. But the popadoms were that stale you could fold them in half. and had to tear them apart. I kid you not.

Would have walked out at that point. Sorry hovis, another unhelpful reply!

We walked out, when the errrrr starters failed to arrive 60 mins after we walked in the place. paid for the beer and left. 30 of us. They said it was our own fault as we should have booked in such a large party on a sunday night. They only had one guy who was supposed to do the cooking, waiting on and barman bit. Still unhelpful eh!

I suggest that you try the Brewery Quarter on St Mary Street as there's a few restauants there.

Better still, try the Taurus Steak House or any of the takeaways (chippies!!) on Caroline Street. You haven't lived until you've been there...... I recommend Dorothy's Chip Shop as you can eat in or takeaway.

how about juboraj (http://www.juborajgroup.com/)? it's on mill lane, so pretty central. it's not cheap but i think it's meant to be nice.

Oh alright then ;)

I am actually trying to remember the name of the curry place I ate in when I went to cardiff. It was nice but that is of no use to you whatsoever if I can't remember the name.
