That tail end needs a damn good wash if you ask me!

Thats actually bad JPG compression and the fact the image was rescaled to 25% or original size (in 2 x 50% jumps)

Bike is clean enough :)

Bad JPG compression turns what should be red to black? That's a seriously inefficent hashmap!

At Soho on friday, when you mentioned what you were going to do, I remembered someone else had done something similar.

I did a search and found it :)

Please pardon the lightness of colour and untidyness, was in a rush :)

Well - Blue looked like this when he 'followed me home - can I keep him please' ;) :

Someone elses' idea of a 'work in progress', it even had huge road Runner stickers on each side of the fairing (peeled off before photo).

Now however, he is sleek and classy in his Repsol Blue with Gunmetal Detailing. 8)

Here's mine...just posted a thread about it.

And a better shot of the tank and wheels. Some sections are fading red thru to black, others solid.

Wasn't a copy of anything, just farting around with ideas. :-)

Another Mod

Stickers rather than paint

And when I say stickers I mean self-cut out "tattoos" made from 3M Scotchlite Black Refelctive tape

Only pic I have was taken in the rain yesterday - and the tats are just a trial run - cutting isnt so good and alignment is shocking :)

It should have had a new colour scheme by now. Oh well. I still like this one.

I saw Soulkiss mention reflective black scotchlite tape, does this really reflect even though it is black?

And can you get rim tape in this type of tape?

SoulKiss

I does refect - but its a kind of gunmetal grey reflection.

They say its the worst reflecting of the lot.

But as I see it, I could go with normal black vinyl and get zero reflective benefit or use the scotchlite - worst case is still the same :)

Will try and capture the reflectivity - must get someone to park nose-to-nose at about 6 to 10 feet and take a pic from their bike :)

Usually the reflective tapes will show up under flash photography... WHich is one of the reasons I don't like it :)

Well in my quest for new-paint, I have managed to track down much of what I need to start on the painting - YAY!!!

Some of this is a set of spare rear plastics (Thanks to Lairylarry).

So, for a laugh I bunged them on the SV - made it go all NSR/CBR....

I love the NSvR look.

I was comtemplating trying to sell my plastics and replace them with cheap damaged parts. Just to try and squeeze some money out of the bike. Figured I'd get too little to make it worth the hassle.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your project develops SoulKiss.
