Theres a pub in Powmill, at the bottom of the hill where you can get the free bus up to the track. Either that or theres a pub at the track itself....... Just fine for all the jakeys of this world

Sorry my question should have been clearer. ;)

Anyone recommend a good pub near George Sq for the Wednesday night. I don't know Glasgow very well. Somewhere that won't be six deep at the bar :smt013 , won't cost a fortune or be posh :takeabow:, and won't be so loud that we have to stand and stare at each other in silence :shaking: !

There is the crystal palace on Jamaca Street with bike parking right next to it, weatherspoon pub so no noisy music on, cheap drink and about a 5-10min walk fae George Sq. Thats my idea but dont know if too far away from George Sq.

There's The Counting House on George Square at St Vincent Place ..... cant get any closer than that

There's another Wetherspoons right on George Square itself, The Counting House. It's huge but it might still be toppers with smelly bikers...

The Horseshoe Bar in Drury Street would get my vote though. About 5 minutes away, room for all of us and proper Glesca pub.
