How did you get on Sam, did you get a place local to do you a show plate or are you still looking.....
I dont know for a fact but I was told that there is a place on Dumbarton road that does them "area 51" or "51st state" something like that.
As I say I dont know for certain Ive never been to the place and I got mine done at Ingleston at the bike show

Never had any joy local, Was told of a place in Dunfermline.. Essport? not heard that name in ages.. thought they had closed!
Halfords can get them, you have to go into the store and order them in person.. 2-3 days and about 15 quid.
Ended up ordering some from a guy i use down south, 7.50 a plate  Way cheaper that anything i got quoted from up here.. just hope the posty don't loose them ;)

Sorry but they are legal if you have an old six digit number and font, plus size and spacing conform. Obviously they must also be to B.S.regarding reflectivity
N.B. A Bentley running about North London with the plate H 1 and it is tiny plus I see a lot of Rover 75's with an enormous rear plate to fit in with the aperture of the body No rule or law exists regarding the outer dimensions of your plate providing the figures conform

Six digits like L123 ABC? That'll do for the old Triumph Trident Sprint hiding in the garage but a new plate would double the value of the bike!
