A warning about the dangers of playing the new Lewis Hamilton drinking game.

I attempted this yesterday while watching the Grand Prix on ITV. The rules are simple, every time they say "Lewis Hamilton" you have to down a shot.

Unfortunately I didn't count on the rabid Lewis-worshipping commentary of James Allen.

By the end of lap one I had already downed 5 shots and thought I might need some more vodka. Luckily good old ITV stuffed in an advert after lap 2 so I was able to search the cupboard for another bottle. Due to Alonso's ****-up at the start and Kimi's car breaking the "Hamilton" rate seemed to go up alarmingly to about 10 shots per lap.

By about lap 10 I was completely out of vodka and had to resort to all the left-overs in the cupboard. The pit-stops accounted for the whisky, gin, rum and even some baileys. By halfway things were getting desperate so I grabbed a bottle of grappa for the journey and hopped into the car to nip to One Stop. Luckily I was drunk so the journey was quite quick !

I leapt over the counter and took 6 one litre bottles of vodka and threw some cash at the spotty 14 year old behind the counter. He was just explaining that I'd have to wait for a supervisor as they weren't old enough to sell booze when I punched him in the face and shouted "well why don't they put a f***ing grown up on the counter since half the customers are buying alcohol !!" and ran off.

I leapt back into the car and sped off up the road at 80 miles an hour, I suddenly noticed a police car behind me, and so he wouldn't notice me I speeded up. Unfortunately as I got to the corner the 214 shots of mixed spirits took hold and I crashed into a phonebox.

The policeman got out and surveyed the wreckage and said "who do you think you are Lewis Hamilton".... I reached for my hip-flask !!!

They think I'll be well enough to go to prison in about 3 months.

Jenson who??

Spot on

Hamilton now leads the world championship. I'd say he;s in with a serious chance of wining it, but he'll have to get some race wins if he wants to make it a bit easier for him...

I find it frustrating that Massa's always out in front as I really don't rate him as one of the better drivers of the race- he's just got pole and keeps place with a clear track in front of him and a very fast car (just like in the qualifying)- as in traffic he tends to go straight on corners! Ho hum.

It's good to see Kubica doing better as the car works more consistently!

Mind you- all the action was in the pits this time- WHAT WAS THE BMW TEAM UP TO?!! Someone'll be getting a talking to...

Good on Hamilton- It's not long before he wins his first race. And not one 'Ragged Edge' from the commentary yesterday, either!
