My Uncles new toy!!
Lucky Man, She's a Factory R! He says that he can't stop riding her!! bet he won't let me have a go on her when I go back to Oz though! :( Not with my track record of crashing anyway! :o
He traded his 2004 Blade in for it.

That will be Australia for you then. A couple of years back some friends of mine decided to emigrate to Perth, Western Australia. They sold a fairly 'ordinary' converted 2 bedroom flat in a not particularly nice part of N.E. Kent.
With the sale proceeds they bought..............a 3 bedroom detached bungalow with plenty of land and a swimming pool. 8)
I keep asking myself what I am still doing in this country! :smt087
P.s. What a great bike! :)

Chuckle, found it by image dredging on Google, so not sure :( Need to Know have some similar ever-so-slightly geeky shirts at http://www.ntkmart.co.uk/ tho, including "404 /shirt/tie: not found"

Gorgeous bike btw Jester :)

Very nice. End caps on the cans look cool - not seen them on these before.

I was chatting to a chap who had just bought one of those the other night. He was singing it's praises and when asked how he justified the Factory over the standard, he said it was actually much better value. The some of the extra toys toys you get (better suspension, wheels, etc.) cost over £1500 alone (the price difference), never mind all added together. He also said there was no need to upgrade anything on it, so no cost modding.

The Oz rims alone cost more. I do like that you can buy these bits and modify the standard bikes to the same spec - to your own colour taste. Exhausts change, opening the airbox up and fitting a PC3 would be the only other mods as they will release big gains in lower torque band - a worthy upgrade as the bikes come out to the EU specd emission laws and these engines love to breathe.

Seeing him decked out in alpinestars gear is like peering into the future for me, how odd

Very, very nice bike though - I am very serious about getting one in a few years after deciding at 1:15 am this morning, laying in bed feeling ill, that a Yamaha R1 will not be differant enough to my SV, that I want a complete hooligan of a bike to sit alongside the mellow yellow curvy.

Can you ask him for me:

Giz a go mister!
