not far from me, think i might treat myself!
Well treat yourself by giving them a wide berth.
Just use disposable earplugs or save up for custom fit. But do use ear plugs.
I bought DIY cheapskate that I am (I should fit right in here then!) - there's little chance that you will make a proper mould so what you do make won't stay in your ears to do you any good. IMHO

They are complete sh*te:)
Bought them from the bike show. Did everything right as per the instructions. But the end product is a hard piece of rubber stuff. You put it in your ear, OK so it does fit well, but the slightest movement and your ear changes shape (which the plug can't) and the noise gets in the side and they also wiggle loose. I didn't even bother trying them on the bike. They were painful when I put my lid on.
I think those custom things are £15 or something. For the same price you can get a box of 200 pairs of Maxlite ear plugs which are comfortable, disposable and great at blocking the wind.

the custom made ones are fantastic, but you need to get the stuff pushed really really far into your ear (until you gag) I would be worried about doing that myself.
i got them................ & im not fussy on them, as they set to a very hard rubber & they also hurt a bit
IMO
