I have ordered a tool from ebay 'buy it now' last Tuesday ( 8th )
I paid via Paypal immediatley.

I have mailed the person several times to get an update and she has given me some story about her kids going into hospital. Now whilst this sounds bad, is this my concern this has happened? So I wait a few days longer and mail again.

She then say' she posted it Monday 14th. Today I still have not recieved it.

I have sent a couple more mails asking for a refund, but have not received anything.

Now should I report this to Ebay? As someone could easily be down on their luck or giving me some sob fob off story.

Pity as the feedback reads 100%.

You've got 45 days to file a paypal claim so no rush (unless you're desperate for your money).

If she used std parcels on the 14th, it could still be on it's way. Standard parcel service can take a week sometimes.

I'd give it 3 weeks then do all the official stuff. Use the paypal dispute method, not the eBay one.

There do seem to be quite a number of people using the relative in hospital story. Give her till end of play Monday then start thinking about complaining.

Seems fair - could just be a delay by the post office.

I know that Parcel force have had a couple if issue this week with there "System going offline" as I was trying to get a collection. If she has sent it via them then could well expeinace a delay. Just chillllllllll Winston.

Ebay's not like a shop, even though the family is NEVER in hospital people have other stuff to do... I put a 10-day post time in all my auctions so that I don't need to make stuff up ;) So, I don't think it's neccesarily too long, but the lies aren't encouraging.

Usually nothing to worry about, I'm in the habit of forgetting to pay straight away (took me a week to send a cheque for something I won), and this is on items that I want so it'd be easy to forget to post something or not have time!!!!
