My neighbour's oldest wean reckons his new tattoo says VENGEANCE but frankly it's more likely to be This Way Up or Bloody Tourist. Anybody actually know?

To avoid long links you just type a word, let's say for the sake of simplicity:

linky

You then highlight the whole word and click the funny earth/link button (11 icons in) under the smiley face in the options above the text window... paste your address in to the box that pops up, click 'ok' and hey presto.. one short link. :)

Or you do this

To end up with this:

reminds me of that Boca Juniors football fan that wanted the badge tattooed on his bak but cos the tattoist surported rival team River Plate tattooed a huge "willy" on his back.

Well it's not Kanji.
The word for Vengeance in Kanji is FUKUSHU and that is 4 symbols long.
It does appear to be chinese than japanese, but I don't know chinese as well as Japanese.
I have 4 Kanji words tattooed on me, I did a lot of research before I got them, sounds like your mate was a bit silly TBH.

Acorrding to the link, it has something to do with the heart. bottom character of the tattoo.

Heart / Mind / Spirit

Mandarin: xīn
Japanese: kokoro

http://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/xin1.gif

This word would often be translated as “heart”. However, because it was believed in Chinese culture thousands of years that your consciousness and thoughts came from the big red organ in the middle of your chest, it also means “mind” or “spirit” and sometimes even “soul”.

Score: 100/100

Now trying to work out what my mum said to me....

ummm.... might be confidence? belief in getting something, dedication?

I think I got it... Rorschach?

It looks a bit like a witch. Only the point on her witches hat is very small, perhaps shrunk by a spell.

Yes, Cantonese badly. Can't read or write Chinese either. I know the following characters and that's probably it, might be a few more.

http://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/yi1.gifhttp://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/er4.gifhttp://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/san1.gifhttp://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/huo3.gifhttp://www.orientaloutpost.com/kaishufont/shui3.gif

Oh, and my chinese name..... no, wait, actually I've forgotten how to write that as well.

Doesn't really bother me, although I suspect it bothers my parents.
