Over the weekend I fitted a new wiring loom into my naked K3. The loom I bought was from a K3 faired bike - I wanted the extended front wiring for the clocks to mount in the fairing, not off the yoke. All went in fine, but there's one connector too many.

It's under the fuel tank right up front right where the three connector blocks for switchgear and ignition switch sit on the frame (I'm leaving all switchgear in so I can keep the horn button and kill switch). The extra connector is a black rounded 3 pin thing and there's nothing left in that area to connect it to. I've got the 2 pin thing for the horn and the black square connector for the fan/temp sender unit round there, but baffled as to what this one does.

Everything I need to work on the bike works fine, I don't have lights cos it's a trackbike that's getting a daytime MOT - I'm just curious as to whether it plugs into a seperate loom for the headlights or something, but I thought that was taken care of by the connector block that goes further forward with the clocks wiring.

Any ideas?

All sussed out now, it was the speedo sensor connector. Usually in the headlight shell on naked bikes, but under the tank on faired ones.
