Hi,

If anyone is reading this and happens to be in the south east london area and owns a van that could fit a 125 in, could you call Anna on xxxxx xxxxxx, I've just had a call to say one of the group has broken down on their way back.

Cheers,

MT

That sounds like Krazy Kim - her wheels weren't sounding too well last night

It was indeed Kim that broke down - engine seized on the A20 @ about 75mph.

Myself, Jambo and Sid Squid had been separated by some lights, so came across her, stopped but upright in the middle lane.

By the time I got stopped and sorted out, she already had it on the hard shoulder.

Dave, erm forgot his surname, came out with his bike trailer from Purley, and we got the NSR back to Iching2go's garage, then Kim back home.

Personally she did briliantly, kept the bike on 2 wheels and got of the road safely, so well done Kim.

Dave Tyler wins a "man of the match" award for accepting a call from us at gone 11:30 at night and offering to come and pick up the bike with his trailer. Top bloke!

Hopefully th NSR's engine is repairable, we'll have to wait and see....

Kim did brilliantly, so a big "well done" to her, I hope never to have an engine seize on me!

Well done Kim on staying upright.

I've had an engine sieze on me (again, a 125 engine) & I know what it's like travelling at 70ish for it to go bang & not want to move.

Also very nice to hear about folks helping out.

Bloody ungrateful engine, espically after Sid spent all that time filling it up with two stroke oil, or was it really cherryade?

Bad luck Kim. Drop us a PM if you want a pillion seat for a while.

Hey guys, i really want to just say how brilliant everyone was. Everyone there got on their phones immediately all trying to see if they could do anything. I'm still a bit lip trembly today but am ok.

Anna: Thanks for coming up with as many great solutions as you could think of and for sticking around until i was sorted.

Cazza: Thanks for the great big hugs just when i needed them and for being my fluffy cloud of calm.

Dave: What can i say except you are an absolute star!!! I owe you the biggest drink in the world. Thanks so much for dragging yourself out of your nice warm home at that time of night. Really appreciated it.

Dave (Soulkiss): Thanks for trying to cheer me up throughout the evening and being so patient. I was smiling on the inside, honest!

Ian: Thanks for your ever cool practical approach to the situation and for taking a look at the bike...and having to be the one to tell me what was wrong with it whilst squeezing me tight enough so that i couldn't kick it back onto the A20!!!

Jambo: Thank you for your quick thinking and your offer of help to try to fix my bike on Saturday. I'll be taking you up on that if it's not too much trouble? Even if it is just to swear at the bloody thing. All hail the chinese take away tub tool box!

Joe: Thank you for dragging yourself back out of bed to let me use your garage. You're an angel.

Thanks to everyone for the support, the texts and the hugs. They were greatly appreciated.

Good work by all those that rallied round and got it sorted for you, top job guys

Hope you're back on the road soon :smt023

Oh and if i'd seen this earlier or people had my number i could've volunteered my van although i am in guildford so probably a bit far to travel?

Wow just saw this - glad you're OK! Any luck with fixing the bike (seeing as it's Saturday now)? If you need any tools...feel free...doubt I have anything you don't have already though (ooh, I bought a 36mm socket last week! That was quite rare...to buy, anyway :D ).
