Has anyone been watching these.. he visits a different country/city and does a report on there local gangs.

I watched the one on Rio last night with the street kid gangs and I think it has to be the hardest I have seen. Kids running around shooting each other for no reason other than to survive from the rival gang. It all seemed to make up just another normal part of their culture now. There was some point he mentioned like 80% of kids under the age of 21 would be killed.... and the police seem to be bad as the gangs. Access to drugs and weapons are like going to the 7/11.

Will he be appearing at AR07 to document the SV gang?

Gmonsta, if you are interested in this type of thing you should watch the film City of God it is based on the very same subject.
PM me with your address if you would like a back up ;) of it.

I remember watching this one - and thinking the same thing. But I thought this was set back in the 70s or 80's - but the same thing is still happening today. Great film/story though.

I watched the one on South Africa about the number. 26's, 27's and 28's. These guys are told if they want to join the number they have to kill someone. If they don't they will be the generals bitch, or be killed. Ent nothing wrong about that but the fact that he calls him his "wife" when he is his bitch.

I'm all for the idea of the SV Gang lol.

Matt - SVGang.org?

I have a problem taking Grant Mitchell on Gangs seriously....

Nothing much wrong with what I have seen of it, especially the latter programs, it seems that his "hardman" image got him the job, but he has gotten over that.

The London one was funny tho (in some places) like the mothers campaigning against the newsagents that sells toy guns due to the fact that a kid carrying one got shot 4 years ago - a real recent case then.

Also the fact that all they could say in South London was that it was the government putting the guns on the streets .... .hmmmmm

I saw that one as well and it did make me laugh, trying to say the govenment puts guns into the hands of these little di*ks.

it also seemed like they wanted to blame anyone else but themselfves for it??
