Yer man here recommends:-

Tyres R Us.

They are based in Eastleigh, just got back from there, bought 2 BT020's which weighed in over £60 cheaper than Micheldever - who are supposedly the cheapest in the country - good fast service.

Not bad, but £60 cheaper?? Sure I didn't pay £220 for a ride in ride out from Micheldever.

Thumbsup none the less.

Seems a good price.

I am about to pay £159 for a ride in-out (Hammond Tyres in Halesworth, Suffolk) for Conti Road Attacks (120/70 and 180/55) which I think is not bad at all....

Saves me getting my hands dirty! :)

Contis work really well on my Hairnet

Unfortunately I had to pay £210 fitted for my pair, mainly coz they wouldn't give me an MOT without a new pair of tyres and they advised me not to ride away on the old ones as they were totally illegal :(

Nice tyres, though, and for me/my bike much nicer that the BT56 (f)/BT014 (r) combo I had on

Is it worth having a specifc thread for this kind of info thats stickied.

Rather than searching for local tyre suppliers, we could just have a sticky thread with the details in that can be updated each time somebody finds a supplier that do good prices / or give a good service ?

Good idea Fizz - perhaps with a rule that any crapola will get deleted just leaving the facts? :)
