Does it ever drop for me? Mine is £650 at the moment and if the bike is not in my garage between 10.30 and 6.30(i think) it goes up by another 250 smackers, so thats a hefty charge of £900 :o

that's excessive excess! did you do a deal with them to lower your premium by raisng the excess?

BTW, it doesn't usually go down if your policy remains the same.

Like the lady says, I think it's because of your age (not yours Deb). At 18 you are a far higher risk than somebody over the age of 30 (statistically speaking that is...).

Nearlly everyone wanted to charge me £650 excess putting it down to a mixture of my age and value of the bike.

Luckily i managed to get a cheap £365 a year premium with £250 excess which i was more than happy with considering alot of people wanted £600+ premium and the £650 excess.

I'm 23 so you have a while to go before having a cheap excess as i struggled to get it down at my age.

Thats quite expensive but....

...not as expensive as car insurance. Ive been getting crazy quotes over £1000 :( although, churchill made one strange blip because third party, fire and theft was £21 more than fully comprehensive! :smt017

Axa who are most likl;ey the underwriters will have pumped up the premiums to reduce the quote.

To be honest excess of 650 doesnt bother me... yes if the biek did get pinhced then bugger...

but iv saved waaaaaay over the £650 extra getting cheap polices through axa then going next quote up with less excess.

I just lump it and resign myslef to tthe fact that if i did have to claim i propably woudl have paid another 400 for the different premium any way!
