Just testing the waters.
I am 99% sure that my bike is going to have to go. Moving to london in a job change and with the cost of renting and the not being able to drill holes in peoples rented houses for a u bolt to secure it, I have surrendered to the fact that it is going to have to go.
It is a tidy bike. With a rear colour coded hugger and chain guard and a lower belly pan. The bike has only done a few wet days (due to me having a car and waterproofs that let the water in) and is kept locked up under cover all the time (even at work)
There is only one bad point about it at the moment which is that about 6 months ago it fell off the side stand in the wind and so has a light scuff mark on the exhaust (should polish out if you know what you are doing) and just scuffed the paint on the front fairing. (I cant stress enough it hasnt dug holes in the plastic just taken the paint off in about an area about an inch long.)
Anyway it is secure water marked and also has a system 3 alarm and immobiliser on.
The can is the original can but has been raised up by the garage that the original ower used (proffessionally) Makes the bike look great without actually putting a new can on. Also the speedo is now working after getting the part (wheel rotor) from powersport in bradford.
Tyres are pretty new and have plenty of meat on them and not chicken stripped
So people. I have to move by august and it is taxed for about 10 months and MOT isnt till november (it will pass)
I am looking for £2300 for it (dont know if this is realistic but we shall see)

It is sad but I have just paid for a new car so there is no option now!

I have a friend that runs a bike engine motor racing company so he has looked after anything and everything while I have had it. Oil and filters done and brakes have just been checked as well as chain and sprockets still good (checked 200 miles ago by him). All well looked after.
I bought it a year ago and before that it has two stamps I think in the log book from bradford suzuki dealer. (will grab the book tomorrow and have a gander at its history before me again)

Well Leeds is only 2 hours on the train and you can get a ticket one way for around 10 quid if you book carefully. Let me know what you think.

SO I had a look in the log book and it was serviced twice before I got it. 4 k and 7 k I think then I had it serviced by my mate at 10k.
All in good knick and still for sale. Alpha dot and system3 alarm and immobiliser certs in log book.
Where in London are you moving to? You may actually find that owning and running the bike is as economical as public transport, but inspires less homicidal rage. I know that's the case for me. My bike currently costs me about £170 per month while i pay the finance on it. Compare that to £120 for a monthly travelcard plus the inevitable taxi's when i'm out too late or when I'm working too early and it makes sense.

I am moving to Hertforshire to live and travelling to junction 3 on the M1. SO I am not actually going into central london but to NW11. I really do need the car for the type of job I do and the bike would be nice but storage on rented property is always an issue. I really do need to sell the bike and it is still up for sale! :)

A few people have asked if I am taking off the hugger and belly pan. Answer in short. Probably not. Want to sell the bike as a whole as I am too busy but if I take it to powersport I may do but I would have to get the same for the bike as a whole. Hopefully someone will come and bite my hand off for this baby before long as the price is reasonably low due to my need to sell it on a deadline.
**** i wish id seen this last week ive just bought a naked K3 on a 53 plate with 13000 on the clock for £2200 and im in Halifax. I pick it up on friday with just £800 left to pay, the price is great on yours dont get ripped by powersport, have you tryed advertising in bike trader i would expect to pay about £2600 for yours.

yeah. I had someone offer me crazy low money for it but nobody that is ready to put up a real offer. I have found somewhere to store it if I dont sell by the end of this month. I will just keep it if not and get a friend to turn it over orput it in proper storage.
We shall see.

sent you a PM but just for everyone else, price on here is the lowest I can go. 2300 is a great price for the bike and already 200 down on what it is advertised at on the other sites I have now posted on.
thanks for the interest.

Right, went to powersport in bradford today after a little ride just to stretch the babies legs.
They have three in the showroom at the moment and so wont take mine in until they get rid of one or maybe two. I asked for a sale price so I know how much they will offer when/if they are ready.
£2300.
So at 2300 on here and 2500 everywhere else it is posted, I am really suprised this hasn't gone. He advised to put it at 3k and take offers below. So thing I will put it in bike trader this week to get rid as I only have a few weeks to go now!
But at least with the good weather this weekend I will try to go out for the day on it tomorrow....

Just been looking up on the website at powersport just to get my facts right. Had a PM suggesting they wouldn't offer me that amount. Just to make it clear they did not offer me that but they said they will if they get rid of one of the ones they already have.
Their full stock and prices can be found here.
http://www.powersport.co.uk/motorcycles/index.html
Which includes:
SV 650 SK6, 06 reg, Blue, ex demonstrator, just 600 mls, as new................................. £3,599
SV650 SK3, 03 reg, Blue, 5,800 mls, hugger, tail tidy, Zorstec can, seat cowl, new rear tyre....... £3,199
SV650 SK3, 53 reg, Blue, 1 owner, FSH, 11500, mls, standard machine, full MOT and service... £2,899
the 53 with 11and a half is standard with no system 3 like mine and no belly pan or hugger...
Thanks for looking anyway!

I just sold my K3 thou for £2400 private sale.
Put it up on Biketrader, MCN, etc for £2500ono and you should easy walk with £2300+. The more of summer that goes (if it has even started to turn up yet  ) the less chance you have of the token riders wanting to buy it. I think the all year round riders don't mind buying a bike that has been down the road but the summer token rider wants a mint bike like you have.
Good luck, Matt

Would be interested in the bellypan if the dealer doesn't knock too much off the price if you take it off. (shouldn't think he'll notice)
I'm in Finchley J2 on the M1, so not far at all from where you're moving to, could pick it up when you move.
Cheers

Gone. Didn't get what I wanted for it but it is gone and it means that I now have the money for the deposit on my london flat. Thanks all and I would just like to say a special thanks to all those that have helped me over the last year and a half with bike stuff.
Hopefully it wont be long till my wife gets her job and we are real money flowing again and then I can look to buy another bike in time. Anyway you have all been a help to me and just sorry that I couldnt sell it to anyone on here. It is now at colin appleyards in keighley if anyone is interested.
Thanks all.
