Mrs T i.e Kamakazy, currently has a pointy red 650s. A trip to George Whites in Swindon Sat 9th and a sudden trade in opportunity presented itself and she is now the proud owner of an SV1k special edition in blue/white, all paid for curtesy of very generous hubby (me!). Oh happy happy happy is she :p !!!

Insurance sorted only £97 more a year above the 650!

... Oops, phone call from GW's - bike was actually sold half hour beforehand but the loon (i'm trying to temper my language) hadn't switched the display tickets. Grrrr! Kamakazy no longer happy. Nice one Georgie boy NOT:smt068

So the hunt is now on for another. Good luck to the new owner though - great bike and great deal for them. =D>

Gutted for her, she was really looking forward to getting that bike as well. So is it a 1000 she is still after then or is an other bike on the cards?

Hope she finds what she wants soon.

Oh how cheeky I am going to be now, so does that mean the belly pan is for sale now?? LOL (well if you don’t ask you don’t get) or you can just tell me to f-off!

Cant they get you another one?

I would have thought there would be soem kind of obligation if you signed paperwork etc.

Quick call to Citizens Advice might be useful

A Ford dealership near me did that to a friend of mine, they had just signed the papers for an ex-demo Focus Estate in excellent nick when they found out it already been sold, so they offered them one of two deals, either a spanking brand new one exactly like the one they were after or another ex-demo but with better finish, both for the same money they would be paying for the original one. They ended up buying the brand new one for the price of the ex-demo.

Yup Well Gutted!!!:smt089
Not precious about a 1000, Neio but has to be bigger than 650:smt077 , a bit beefy, but:?: :?: that I can reach the ground on. Whenever I get round to a changeover, you are first in line for the belly pan.

As for challenging GW for an honest mistake, well to be honest worse things happen at sea!

Thanks for all of your good wishes, as soon as I can, I will be blasting in on a larger machine!!! [-o< Keep your eyes peeled Beenz:smt119

RS Tubby, if the price is right who knows! but of course I would need to sell the 650, any offers anyone?? :?:

Stretchy, I hope you didn't have to wait too long for your recovery, I felt awful leaving you there alone and sad, but I had to go and kick Triumphumphumph's bumphumphumph for not coming back far enough to find us!:smt064

No problem, I did move the bike back and sat on the grass in the shade perving at the young girlies driving past. It was quite nice actually....

Would have been better if it happened outside a pub though.Did a stoopid thing though, went into Fowlers for some lunch (was in Bristol anyway) and fell in love with this (well slightly different colours)

I can't afford it, or get credit for it.... But I just can't stop thinking about changing to it.. =D>

Very sad news, remember you seeming very bouncy about the prospect on Sunday.

And just to note, George Whites Swindon seem to have priors of this :( Though in my case it was not nearly so far along. A week or so before their "official" opening I was down there and nearly bought a second hand 650 (blue pointy), got half way through the paperwork when the guy went off to collect something he'd forgotten and came back with a sheepish look on his face.

At the risk of stereotyping horribly, the staff there seem to be more into lowered neon Corsas rather than bikes, and I suspect many of them were recruited straight from McDonalds. Finally found a nice SV at a "proper" family bike shop with "proper" biker peeps :)

Good spot Neio but don't think we can raise the cash! we gonna look round the dealers over next few weeks and GW's reckon they gonna keep a look out too. Either that or I'll have to buy her a new pair of boots with platform soles so she can try other bikes :D !

There was a pair of sidi's on eBay recently that had been modified with an extra thick sole so it's a possibility!
