The insurance company assures me the cheque is in the post and therefore the bike will be mine to dispose of.
EDIT: BIKE AVAILABLE NOW!!!
I have got some photos of the bike/damage....as i said in the previous thread its mostly front end.
Details
Yellow 99 Sv650s
Circa 24k miles
Prior to accident sweet as a nut
Had a full dealer service approximately 500-1000 miles ago
I have lots of past service history knocking about/old MOT
Alphadot
Damage mostly front end, plastics have therefore suffered but discs/calipers and maybe forks/yokes etc dont look too bad(untrained eye that i have)
Apart from that clip ons dont look to healthy on the edges and clocks displaced...maybe still useable???
Scratches on exhaust/tail fairing quite minor as shown in the photo's.
Rear brake peg bent but should be easily straightened
One of the mounts that holds the lower fairing is missing, lowers themselves seem fine.
Finally the frame has a crack in it up towards the ignition, again shown in photos.
As a non-pro mechanic bits that seem good cond/easily salvageable are:
Left mirror
Pilion pegs/hangers(both sides)
Pillion seat
Riders seat
Rear hugger
side-stand
Rear wheel
Rear brake+components
Chain/sprockets
Exhaust/pipes etc (standard)
Engine: This is a biggy and it started up when i tested it a few weeks ago fine and sounded normal. I didnt want to run it for too long as i was not sure if this would cause damage!

In summary front end took the force of the collision(certainly some bits will be salvageable. The rest of the bike seems fine, few minor scratches here and there but the crash bung did its job.
I would think that somone with decent mechanical knowledge could either do a front end transplant from another bike, or maybe straighten what is there if it could be done. NB frame is damged though.
Perhaps more likely someone would strip it down for parts. I would have done this myself but the knee is not up to it :)
It might also make a good race bike project for someone. I would imagine selling all the bits such as hugger/pillion pegs etc would recoup some money.
I am more than happy fo you to come and inspect, in fact i would think you mad if you did not! PM for address/contact details.
Finally i am not looking to sell parts i would like it to go as it is. Make a decent offer and i imagine i will accept, otherwise it will be ebay bound :p
