Having received my cheque from the third parties insurance company today, i have decided to hold a small competition, in the manner of, "guess how much they paid out"

I will therefore be paying for the "date", which may be a breakfast, pit stop, or dinner, subject to the winners succesful negotiations with Hovis.

Whats the catch you say? Well its with Hovis:cool: in his fashionable boots:smt068

One guess per person;First guess is final. Also you must attend the AR to win and provide photographic proof for all us southerners who are scared of going.

To help its a 99 curvy, pretty standard, circa 24k miles-i also got to keep salvage.

So far we have:

Stu-£1,250
Powsie-£2,350
Biker Biggles-£1,900

Phone lines will close @ 10PM tonight.

Questions: Insurance pay out for what?? I don't remember the thread about your wrecked bike, apologies. Also what happens if there's a tie?

Correct me if im wrong but i think the Grinch has struck again...first the GM photo comp and now this. It least this promises to be less horiffic for the viewing public :)

Price paid is £2,175....methinks the insurance monkeys have lost their marbles! Its a good time to crash.

I will consult with Hovis, who must have been arrested to have been gone from the forum for so long, as to how the prize will be delivered. I have a few ideas, but Hovis/Grinch need to agree.

1- Actually have a meal...depends if you can find a pub or what have you. Also this assumes that restaurant/pub/cafe would actually serve Hovis and Grinch.

2- Im not sure how organised the AR is, so it might not be an option, but appropriate funds could be used for drinks for everyone to enjoy, get a few crates in etc

3-Same as above but if there is to be a BBQ, money could be used to buy a cow for roasting...or tofu/soya....bloody pesky veggies.

4- Money could be invested in croissants/bread/preserves/sliced meat/cheese etc for a continental breakfast for all. Being bikers and thus uncivilised types this might not be applicable :)

5-Grinch and Hovis to fill up their tanks(£15 per person should do it) on one of the rideout stops. I will stretch a bit more for coffee/tea/snack's so they can have that promised date. That or they could use the fuel to go for a romantic sojourn somewhere!

The brain grows tired so that is all.

Grinch any preferences or different suggestions?...Hovis is AWOL currently so the ball is in your court. That and the fact he hasnt posted probably means he is unaware i am pimping him out, so he will oblige whatever you suggest.

What? Do you mean his fine desperado facial growth?
Surely that means he should be in the dress. It'd be far funnier!! :D

Nah its just the bike itself. Still waiting on them to pay out for my lid/other gear and excess as well. The injury compensation will take forever so im just pretending it doesnt exist and when it shows up, will be a bonus.

Im not attending the AR, so when its decided whats happening, i will take the risk of paypal'ing the de niro's to hovis.
