Apparently, Metallica have announced that they will also be playing at the
LIVE EARTH Concert on the 7th July as well.
Do you think the authorities at Wembley will be able to cope with such large concerts the day after the other? We shall see. :smt100
Me!!!!!!
Just got an email from an old mate with a spare ticket. Result ;o)
Now, do I go on the bike & not worry about the tube situation....or do I go on the tube & therefore am allowed to drink the odd light ale during the gig.....choices, choices....

Haven't got a Scooby Doo. I was just going to find a nice, well-lit lamp post on a side street.....

Just got a text through from Ticketmaster saying 'due to ill health, Bullet for my Valentine will no longer be supporting Metallica at Wembley. New support to be announced shortly'
No real loss. Lets hope Stone Sour get the gig instead. :thumleft:

I understand Machine Head are due to stand in for Bullet F.M.V on Sunday.
What do the peeps going here think of this? :smt038 OR :smt018 ?
my ticket says that the event opens at 2.30pm???!!!!!
Surely that's some mistake?
When do they start?

HIM then MachineHead then Mastadon. I am (un)reliably informed that Metallica are due on about 7.30pm as there is a curfew at 10..............................Rock.
this is what i heard:
**RUN TIME**
Doors 2.30pm
Mastodon - 4.30pm - 5pm (30 mins)
15 mins change over
TBC - 5.15pm - 5.55pm (40 mins)
15 mins change over
HIM - 6.10pm - 6.50pm (40 mins)
45 mins change over
Metallica - 7. 35pm - 10pm (2hr 25 mins)
Curfew - 10pm
Cheers!
Are any of these support acts any good?

Machine Head are the "TBC" act after Bullet For My Valentine pulled out.
Try looking the support acts up on youtube Kinvig, I'm not too into HIM (bit girly-romantic-gothy for my liking) but Mastodon and Machine Head are quite capable of destroying anything in front of the speakers if played at a reasonable volume....:smt035 :eye: :smt041

Yep, not long now! :smt041
Thats if I can get there, what with this 'Tour de France' thing going on. :(
Men with shaved legs. Whats all that about? [-X
Machine Head are pretty awesome!
I wanted to see Metallica, but by the time I got my lazy **** into gear to look up tickets, the General Admin was sold out. Could still get tickets up the back of the stadium .. but didnt want to be that far from the action and in a seat. I have seen Metallica twice in Melbourne, THEY ROCK!
Another couple of awesome gigs I have been to were Disturbed and Sevendust .. both in Melbourne. I like Sevendust so much and LOVE Chicago (the city) so I went to see Sevendust in Chicago at the House of Blues. Unreal gig!! Ahhhh .. the joys of marrying a hostess :smt045:smt077:smt034:smt066
I so want to go see metallica.......... not fair.. *goes off to sulk**
think I'll be down the bar during this Mastodon's stint.
Vocals seem to be reminiscent of Ozzy/Plant but the overall sound just doesn't do it.
Does anyone know if Machine Head are confirmed for Sunday?
Quite fancy going down in time for them (British GP so I won't be down any earlier!). So, I may go down to see them at 5.15 (if on) then hang around the bar/buy a T-shirt till Metallica come on.
If any of you MetalHeads fancy a meet up down the bar inside the venue (I'm assuming there'll be one) PM & we can sort out mobile tel no's etc.
