If you host images from within the post and cut/paste the one that says "hotlink for furums (1)" when in imageshack, it should appear directly as a photo.

nice pictures lissa, were the roads dry up the cat then?

Lissa
16-06-07, 10:38 PM
It was a funny day..............roads were bone dry for a lot of the day, but we had the occasional quick shower.................and one jet-ski session:D

It tended to be wet under trees, but we still managed a good pace.

Pete and I have never done the Cat and Fiddle on a warm, dry, sunny day before...................and we didn't manage it today either;)

whats this jet-ski session i keep hearing of ?

Lissa
16-06-07, 10:44 PM
We all came flying down this hill to discover standing water a good few inches deep at the bottom, and as the road was wet we couldn't brake hard...................we must have left bow waves like the Queen Mary:D

Thank God my boots are waterproof!

I was giggling about it for ages after:mrgreen:

oh i see :) me and cuz would have been crying our eyes out in all that water:)

Lissa

Actually, it did me a favour..................washed a huge amount of grit and muck off:D

Not that I'm obsessive about muck, of course!

lissa: I look like I'm gurning in that first pic:)

I think the pace was 'progressive' and we all seemed comfortable with it .... really enjoyed myself. And nice to meet a few from the org.

Photo sessions are always good for a laugh, and nice to look back on. Hope larry didnt get too wet, do you think it makes him feel sick traveling backwards?

Yes, 'progressive' is the word:D It was great fun!

Larry is used to going backwards now, and maybe it's just as well that he can't see forwards sometimes;) He'd jump!:smt003

It looks like someone slipped happy pills into Baph, Tomcat & Steveg's drinks in Lissa's 1st pic.

Couldnt make it and im seriously wounded about it, especialy because i was the one who suggested the rideout, i'd probably be late for my own funeral.:(

Organise something (next couple of weeks are out for me - so end of next month maybe??) and so long as I'm free I'll pop down.

You never know, I might even have a shave before I set off next time

2hours 30 to get to Bassetts Pole makes it an easy target for a day's rideout. I'll be organising another North Wales run due to popular demand as well. Luckypants doesn't know it yet, but he'll be involved with that too.

If organising another ....... I have a busy few weekends ahead of me, but if I'm about I'm up for it. Snake pass, long hill, cat and fiddle ...... few suggestions for peeps to think about ;)

See you on the next one. There is going to be a next one isn't there???

G

Must say i did have a rather dodgy moment on the cat and fiddle.....one of those moments where you must stop braking and start leaning to avoid going over a 100ft drop but for some reason cant :o Luckily there was a slight road type thing to the left that I just managed to stop in.

Cant just imagine what Lissa and other half were thinking following close behind. :smt103

You weren't the only one that had a moment on the Cat & Fiddle run  My only one was minor really, like I said to Pete at one of the stops, rear end stepping out a little when it slid due to heavy engine braking on cold tyres.

About the "arrange another one" posts... I'm up for it. Possibly even every 2 months be able to get down there. As Tomcat, I have a busy couple of weeks ahead which effectively rules me out (except for the AR) until the 3rd weekend of July.

I'll try & sort something out for Wales for end of July or maybe September too. From Bassetts Pole you can make Ponderosa in around an hour (once you get past the speed cameras on the A5).

Can't do July until last weekend - I'll be in France. August might be better bet.

I was thinking August/September time anyway. In a little while I'll stick up a post to ask for available dates of anyone possibly involved. The rest of the planning can follow that.

I'm busy now until the end of july :S holidays and the likes  Which means I'm also poor :(

Without a doubt up for making it a monthly thing or every other month having a big one
