so it would appear the venue for our little get to gether does not have on site dining facilities so I either have to take/make my own full Engish of a morning or source locally. (Hello neighbour).

As I doubt the area has a take away that delivers (5 Lamb Phal for the men, 20 Rogan Josh for the southerners, 4 Chicken Tikka Masalla for the ladies and a Prawn Korma for the boy) suggested starting order. It looks like we are going to have to arrange something.

Has anyone given any thought to a jaunt out to a local eatery?

We should have a word with the local pub and see if they will do breakfasts for us all!!

I for one need to eat a lot of pies to keep my appetite happy,
I am a little concerned that pub thats '10 mins walk away' is the only one for miles.
We had the same conversation about delivery of fifty curries to 'a field' please!
We're off to Hawes on the rideout and the cafs there for us to get breakfast I presume, but I'm shuddering at Sunday morning with hangover feeling

I gather a certain 'BluePete' and 'Mr R. No-Numbers' are a dab hand at rustling up such a breakfast.;)

The Campsite will cook breakfast for those staying at the B&B, but not for the campers. People will have to fend for themselves Friday Night / Saturday morning, though Settle is not far up the road and has a couple of fish & chip shops (Closed by 8:30PM), a decent Pub (Last Order at 9PM IIRC), a Chinese takeaway and a little supermarket thing (Spar for those interested).

Lunch has been catered for for the ride out Saturday (Morrisons Shop in Ripon)

For the Saturday evening A BBQ is being arranged, Mr Toad is your man for all things Barbie related and a poll will be put up over the next day or 2 asking for people to say if they want catering for for this meal.

Please make sure you reply to the BBQ thread when it turns up, or risk going Hungry!!!

this could be a problem........as i dont know if some of the riders on the north/south can function without a full english brekie.

i think the phrase was " if god did not want us to eat the animals.............."

is there a cafe/truckstop/burger van near?

Well the rideout starts at a "Little Chef" car park, about 5 minutes along from the capmsite by bike. So if you get yourself down the road well ahead of time there's an option there :)

There will be one within 10 minutes or so of the campsite, don't stress fella! We'll go for a scout around after arriving. We are not all that far from Settle, which has several AFAIK.

Westhouse too IIRC.

EDIT: in fact, Hovis, click here (http://www.google.co.uk/maps?f=l&hl=en&view=map&q=cafe&near=Austwick&ie=UTF8&ll=54.110943,-2.357254&spn=0.17389,0.633087&z=11&om=1).

EDIT 2: "D" seems appropriate oddly.

I would argue that no more than a dozen people should go to each cafe if thats whats happening.

Will speed things up no-end, rather than 30 or so hitting one venue.

I am not taking any food or cooking stuff  . But then again if I get really hungry I can go home (bout 30 mins from Campsite!!). Figure a bottle of full fat coke for the hangover (best hangover cure ever!) on Sunday and thats me sorted.
