Oh right, how did I miss that thread?? And not notice you about with a broken collarbone?? And I'm actually struggling to remember last summer now.

Well, it's either age or the Mary Jane :D ;)

Lucky Ter sold the bike, otherwise he may be annoyed at yet another GM thread derail :D (Or grateful for all the bumps :D)

bestest bargin ever?

anywho, would you have to tell the insurers about it being written off, or would they already know? & would this effect the price of insurance?

You don't have to tell the insurance as they already know,

If you tried to insure a CAT A or B they soon tell you otherwise!!

So as long as its C or D and has a valid MOT (after classification I believe), then it'll be insure as a normal bike. The cost of insurance doesn't change - I know this from insuring a Cat C and a Clean GSXR 750.

The payout in a loss situation shouldn't come into it if the bike was repaired properly. (my opinion)

I've had loads of Cat C bikes, so long as the frame, forks and wheels are good then I'm cool with it!! (If it can wheelie, stoppie and allow me to get the pegs down then I'm even better!! :D)
