After much delay i finally get my bike!

have to M54 it on the way home, but was following my stepdad in his van, so all was good (except for one clicking into neutral when stopped at a roundabout off the junction instead of first- but i soon got over that without panic and ****ting it all up)

and now, its constantly p*ssing it down! I am sitting, looking to my right, and seeing the beautifully shined red beast out the back getting wet when i should be riding the beaut

also i didnt realise how quickly they like to go over 30, pretty hard to not break the speed limit :) i'm sure i'll refine the delicate throttle and clutch control over the weeks to come of the hopefully not raining summer. i am very much liking its acceleration and engine breaking properties - feels nice and powerful. Just have to wait 2 years to unleash its full potential (yes stupid youngun)

I couldn't be happier with the bike, but if any of you would like to join in praying for the rain to stop i wont be the one to stop you :thumleft:

Glad you are enjoying the new bike, but dont let the rain stop you...get out there and get some wet miles under your belt. If your weather is anything like mine here, its a little wet but its not cold :)

That said dont leave it out in the rain...get a cover for the poor thing!

yeah yeah true, my first time on a bike was monsoon, but i dont feel like it today, just walked home and am soaked anyways, wanna have an evening off! i intend to use it pretty much all year round

yeah i got a cover for it but it says not to use on freshly sprayed stuff, and the tank has just been sprayed over the l;ast couple days. would that make a difference? or are they just covering their backs?

Paint is soft for up to 2 weeks when it is first sprayed and needs time to cure or go completely hard. Get a decent cover with a soft liner and there should't be a problem.
