Try deleting your Temporary Internet Files. adaware might remove it, otherwise just run antivirus. Trojan horses are kinda comman, and easily removed.

Just dont do any online shopping until its gone!

Is there an icon down near the clock now too that flashes? Is there any name like "Spyware Quake" or anything Quake?

if so dont follow the link to the removal site it offers you. Ive had that one before ad if its that i can tell you how i got rid of it.

Sounds like you're sorted now.

AVG http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 offer free versions of spyware and anti virus products. You might want to check that out.

It sounds to me like you need to make sure that your Internet Settings are tweaked a bit.

Go to internet options and open up your security tab for the internet.

your slider should be at least at "medium-high" for the net, and if it isn't put it up there. You can customise it further by ensuring that any unsigned active x applets and the like cannot be run. You also need the following free software:

BitDefender 8
Spyware Blaster
Spyware Guard
Adaware SE Personal
Zonealarm
AVG Free 7.5
Spybot search and destroy.

Ewido anti spyware is also pretty good too.

Keep it all up to date and everything should be hunky dorry - you should schedule AVG free to do a background check daily; it won't catch everything, but it will get most stuff.
