I got one...
Just because you ride a naked bike...
Doesn't mean you go naked too!
:D
rim tape is not a crime?!?!?
i put red rim tape on me red bike, it looks nice and subtle, where as if i'd done it in day glo yellow maybe a crime?!?!? bit of a split decision on this maybe?

Ha Ha I am not guilty of any apart from this one, my Suzuki top yoke protector, tank cap cover and tank protector....all fake carbon, looks good though IMHO
I think I've finally found somewhere that I'm fashionable! :clown:
My one piece leathers have small yellow flashes on them but the rest of my gear is all black
What about a hoody under leathers with the hood flapping out? :smt048
I do have some fake carbon fibre though (top yoke protector and petrol cap cover)

Sunny's under my clear visor, not got around to getting a tinted visor yet!!!
Lucky for me, I'm too poor to buy anything flashy that makes you look like some sort of racer boy. Actually I'd still be safe even if I did have more cash.

I've not done any of those. Worst I've done is worn sunglasses with an open face lid (still don't reckon this is anywhere near as bad as under a full face one's visor). I've also tucked my denim jeans inside my boots.
For the ultimate in how to be cool please see Treacle. . . . . . . . . or as he is more commonly know, the Oracale Of Cool
None.............. although i have yellow black & white leathers?
Yep, they ran out of space for the article. the next one was 'Don't be Hovis", but the editor decided it was too obvious to most of the population :clown:
Nuts to 'em. I like hiding leather's under a sweatshirt, I think my gold iridium rocks & sunglasses under a clear Visor are easier to take off when it gets dark.

dont go out in all brand new kit you'll look a flash tw#t with new sliders,
I see, and what exactly am I suppose to do? Hang the leathers in the garage for few years to mature?
rim tape is not a crime?!?!?
i put red rim tape on me red bike, it looks nice and subtle, where as if i'd done it in day glo yellow maybe a crime?!?!? bit of a split decision on this maybe?
I'd like to see that sometime. I think rim tape can look good, but I had doubts about doing it to a red bike.
As for crimes - I wear my boots over my leathers - so I think that makes me a fashion criminal. Not sure I could wear them the otherway round even if I wanted to.

Not guilty of any of those... I mus be a fashion god!
I'd like to see that sometime. I think rim tape can look good, but I had doubts about doing it to a red bike.
you'll have to arrange to ty up with me sometime as you're only down the road to see what it looks like, i dont think it looks bad at all,but each to their own......
As for crimes - I wear my boots over my leathers - so I think that makes me a fashion criminal. Not sure I could wear them the otherway round even if I wanted to.
as for leathers over the boots.....check out half the field at various GP/BSB/WSB rounds, i've noticed a few of them do this, so could be cool???

That suggests the other half don't :-)
If I had my leathers given to me, or even better was paid to wear someone's then I wouldn't care wether they went inside or out.
Meet sometime - yep that'd be good.

do not stick stickers all over your bike,
Have been actively removing stickers from my bike.
do not wear a sweater or hoodie over your leathers,
Dont own a hoodie or sweater.
do not use a tyre pen on the walls of your tyres,
Whats a tyre pen?
do not wear a stick on mohicon on your crash helmet,
Dont have any desire to stick anything to my lid, except my helmet cam.
do not wear your back protector over your leathers,
Built in to my jacket so always inside.
always fit old sliders to new leathers,
Dont have any sliders, old or new.
iridium visors were cool in the 90's wear black or silver if you insist,
Funny you should mention it, but have a black and a silver visor on their way to me, passed up on the iridium.
do not tuck your jeans into your bike boots,
Nope, dont do that.
if you've got a yellow bike (hovis) dont wear yellow leathers,
Surely this one should be "Dont get a yellow bike" ?
smoke or black screens are ok colours are not,
Have Light Smoke and Black, so ok on both fronts.
colour'd engine bolts are a no no, fit stainless or titanium instead,
Still have the stock bolts.
let a mate scuff your sliders, this is the one bit of bull**** allowed,
See above - no sliders.
dont go out in all brand new kit you'll look a flash tw#t with new sliders,
All my kit nicely broken in.
dont wear sunglasses under a clear visor,
Well once my black and silver visors get here I wont have to, the OEM Dark Smoke Pinlock insert for a Shoei is next to useless, hence sunglasses.
dont fit grips with your bikes name on,
Still on original grips, left hand one showing battle damage from my off at the end of last year.
dont fit colour'd tyres to your bike,
Do Pilot Road 2s come in Red???
race rep helmets are cool but the whole race rep kit isnt.
Not a race-rep but it is cool :)
Hmm I seem to recall some added stickers on the nose of your red beastie - or am I imagining things :-)

Those are not stickers, they are safety features :P
Besides I am sure the stickers they are reffering to are the performance parts manufacturers pimp stickers, not works of art like mine :)

Does a jumper over leathers actually work? Wow - never tried it myself.
I am fashion crime free - my carbon is of the purest form and just the mention of 'Rim' tape is enough to make with giggle.
Me am cool.

Technically The only thing you should wear under your leathers is underwear or the thin thermals otherwise when you wear a jumper or thick clothing underneath, they stretch, so when you go back to summer riding your leathers will be too baggy ;) Leathers should be skin tight.

I know - I'm an unashamed fair-weather biker now so don't go out in the cold and have never tried the jumper over the top thing.
When I was commuting in all weathers I had snuggly warm textiles - now gathering increasing layers of dust in the loft!

What a waste of paper they are!

Seeing as FB is undoubtably the worst bike mag on the market - or at least equal worst (TWO being the other), I refuse to take anything they say seriously.
I wear an SV badged Fleece over my leathers from time to time - it's practical
I have a blue iridium visor - 'cos I think it looks good.
I have been known to wear sunglasses under a clear visor (on the odd occasion that I remove my blue iridium one that is)
Don't own knee sliders - knee down on the open road is NEVER cool anyway !! <waits for the flaming to begin>

Booger. I have Daytona brand heated grips on my Daytona, and the name is on them too. I also wear Daytona boots on my Daytona.
Am I a walking fashion faux-pas?
In my defence, absolutely everything I wear is black as a black thing, and my bike is as black as a black thing with added blackness.
When I bought my Arai I insisted that I get one with silver logos because I have silver logos on my bike and boots. The Arai Condor comes with either gold or silver logos on the black lids and you can't tell what you're getting til you open the box. My dealer phoned Phoenix and asked them to open the boxes and find the right one for me. I just couldn't have gold with the other logos in silver, that would have been terrible.

Sorry but I actually use my bike, I'm not a part timer who uses it just on the odd occasion when it's dry or the missus lets me. Standard lid and sunny's is preparation for all weather

As for the jeans thing? I'd never wear anything but my leathers or my textiles when out on the bike, and even if I could zip them over my boots (Tech3 motox) I wouldn't!
