Severe weather warning for this weekend by the Met office for the whole of england with approx. 2 inches of rain.
Not quite:
"The Met Office is forecasting further unsettled conditions during the remainder of Thursday and into Friday and Flash messages will be issued as necessary. However, there is particular concern that a slow-moving area of low pressure will bring more persistent and heavy rain to parts of the UK over the weekend. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected quite widely across England and Wales, but there is a risk that local totals could reach 50 mm, with the wettest conditions most likely later on Saturday across eastern England."
15-25mm is less than we've had in the heavy rain recently, and that 50mm's predicted to happen somewhere else. Where my mum and dad are on holiday, funnily enough. So they might come and visit :)

With the huuuuge tail hump I can't use a tailpack so its just what I can fit in a tankbag and rucksack unfortunately :( Shouldn't need much though so should be alright, and anything else I need (beer mainly;) ) I'll get when I'm up there.

I wasn't coming until Saturday but I might phone up and see if I can get a pitch for Friday night now....
See you all there!
Gordon
Its done! Friday night it is.
Leaving home between 5 and 6pm to arrive for about 7.
Tea, white, no sugar please.
I'm definitely still coming and on the bike too. I've been looking forward to this for far too long to let the weather forecast put me off. I'm not bothered about getting wet, but anxious about riding on wet roads. I'm sure I'll be ok if I just take it steady.
So count me in on this. I wont be able to access the internet again till after the week end, so for all those coming along, safe journey, see you all there and here's to us having a cracking time!!

I've had a minor disaster. While fitting my new hard luggage tonight I find there is one small but vital bit of metal missing! Grrrrr! now the back of my bike is in bits with half fitted brackets etc.
What's the betting they wont have the bit needed tomorrow at the shop?
Looks like the car is back on the cards! fazzam rackum rickem rastardly!
After much tooing, froing and some swearing, panniers sorted! Just got to pack...

I'm ready to go. Well. I've not packed, and the bike's got no rhs bodywork or mirror, and I've not mounted my luggage, and I don't know where the tent is...
But, I've attached my camera to my helmet, so I'm ready to go! Anyone intending to crash is requested to do it a safe distance in front of me so I can put them on Youtube. Fame and misfortune beckons!

Yeah, should be fine that. Watch the paint though. Might be a bit of a hassle with the panniers though...
