No. no.

I really, REALLY , REALLY wanna go but just cant see the fun in it in this weather thats being forecast. 40-60% chance of torrential rain from Saturday morning to Sunday night. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_warnings.html

Remember that where we are going is where all the floods have been happening and the land is simply waterlogged. More rain with nowhere to soak into means lots of standing water in fields etc and lots of run off onto local roads.

Fun weekend? Not in my books sadly :(

I feel like such a negative nancy writing all this but i also know if i do come i'll think "what the hell am i doing putting myself thru this? Am i proving a point to anyone by doing this/ Is that why i'm here?"

And i also dont wanna b one of hose peeps who says "Yeh" only to text someone in the morning and blow it out. Its taken me bloody ages to make this decision and i made it by default i think. My attitude has been if its not a definate 100% YES, then i'd better be honest with you guys and myself and say NO.

Sorry gang but its my honest feelings

hey dont feel bad spides, you're points are a valid, it aint gonna be for you. thats cool and the gang. if i was going, i'd probably not go now - if that makes sense! the weather would be the main reason behind my decison too

dont fret pet, there's always next year.

Ah yeh, no big date for you guys then. :( And gutted for you btw, its one thing m deciding not to go but i'd be really annoyed if it was my bike who made the decision for me.!!

Cheers Keithy, words of comfort are what i need for sure. And this IS next year that i was looking forward to as i had such an ace time last year.

Anna, I share your enthusiasim (sp?), this has been a long time coming, I'm going to have fun, it'll be the longest I've had the leg brace on, the heaviest the bike's been, probably just about at the limits of what I'm capable of doing, but it'll be good because I'll make it that way.

(Not to sure about walking on a muddy field, but Hey that's why I'm taking a seat ;) ).

Cheers Mark.

Well, I've found my tent.

Theres a 50% chance that I'll be undecided untill tomorrow. Not sure about the other 50% yet. I've found my tent and it's not been eaten by small crawly things. Nothing packed but I know where me stuff is. Weather looks grim.

I guess I'll have to miss it then. Gonna be very skint after picking up the car from it's repairs tomorrow.

its a bout the people not the weather

Just ride safe everyone

Say that again when you're soaked to your undies, trying to ride the bike without spinning the back wheel too much and lowsiding the front, mist forming on your visor so you can't see 50 yards in front of you, all this in roads you don't know at all.

Now seriously, I'm gutted I can't go either but like Spiderman and Keith said I'm not too sure I'd be doing it even if there was a chance, I'm not that confident in my riding abilities to ride in the pouring rain and going back to a soaked tent in the middle of a muddy field isn't exactly my idea of a calm and relaxing place, which would be what I'd be needing afterwards.

That said, I wish you all loads of fun, and I do want to see pics. And please, ride safe, don't spoil it with an off.
