Dizzyblonde rode through it, literally. She claims that it jumped out on her, but I personally reckon she aimed for the poor thing.
Apparently it left a cloud of blood & guts for those behind her to ride through.

Yep - I remember avoiding a bloody (literally and figuratively) great big chunk of something on the final run in. I didn't know what it was but it was a bloody big bit of roadkill. Amazed she stayed on the bike.

it launched itself over a wall and landed in front of the front wheel. no time to stop, just bang and exploded, split in two. It made a right mess of me camo's!!! It were the size of a cow I tell yer!! how I stayed on after a tank slapper i don't know. If it happens to you do what I did, don't brake, let go of the throttle and slowly come to a stop half a mile down road...And shake and shake in shock..then drink loads of beer later!!
Wow, you did brilliant just to stay upright, main thing is you,re ok.

the back wheels were locked cause of all the pies everyone in the back seat had eaten in Leyburn + handbrake turns seemed to make everyone jump in and play catch

I hadn't drank up to then becuase of beliefs... I believed that I started drinking again that night I may die... Didn't last long....
So I took Richie's car to the petrol station for supplies, Rich pulled the handbrake on me in the middle of the field so I thought I'd take it to the people and do a better one (but not a big one. Didn't want to run any people over... Then when they leg go, I sped up a bit and put the brakes on quick to try and slide Jambo off the hood....

Oh then I came back and got on the beer :smt048

Now you see, taken out of context this makes it look like people were goofing about and putting themselves at risk. Clearly the Health & Saftey Executive had OK'd this stattionary shot before hand....:-dd
My understanding of jambo being a hood ornament was that the H&S Exec had said it was OK so long as everyone pushed the car, I've no idea why it looks more like they're holding the car back... that would be impossible to do! :-dd
AHAHAHAHHAHA, a village found it's idiots :smt082
