That is all, pretty much. Yes, it's a bit rubbish, but it's also a bit good.

Nah, it's a nice run down and back so I'll just fire down for one day.

It occurs to me that next year, we should maybe book a club stand? It'd be a good laugh and it'd give us a sort of base camp to meet up on the day and to stash stuff if we're all shopping or have a break and a chat, maybe get some new members too...

What day are you thinking of going down on , Scottish racing is on at the hill on 15th and promised a mate I would go there on 15th

Then perhaps I shall go on the 14th :D Really not sure at this point, to be honest, the weather will make a bit of difference I think as a bike show in the rain is a pretty miserable thing.

Now there's a bloody good idea! How far in advance do we need to book it?

Just so I can remind you nearer the time...

A couple of months I think. The only hard part would be finding people to man it I reckon

This year it was £160 for the smallest marquee, 10ft by 10ft. So not cheap, but that's about a fiver off the active members, which isn't too rough. Though it'd make more sense to team up with the Bandit and SV Owner's Club or somesuch. All just vague ideas, but I like the thought of having our own corner. With deckchairs.

Yes, so, I went today and it's completely s**t. Got fitted for proper earplugs, got a couple of tools and a pair of frank thomas trousers from the rejects store with a leather dying fault (to replace the pair I minced at Knockhill) and that's about it. Way less exhibitors than last year I think, though I think there was more camping and clubs. The Bandit and SV Owners Club actually had an SV this year, which makes a nice change.

Also, there were at least 3 traffic cars patrolling the main route down from Edinburgh, I got stuck behind one most of the way and saw two go the other way. Reasonable enough tbh, there were loads of bellends out, but be careful, those are great roads to ride fast.

However, if anyone does go tomorrow, you could pop by the really good touring/camping place that's always at the shows, with the display of Ortlieb drybags and Kriega rucksacks and suchlike, and find out if I left the cheap drybags I bought there or somewhere else  They seem like good folks so I'm sure if I did they'd say so, but there's no point burning another £10 worth of fuel to pick up £9 worth of stuff. It would be much appreciated...
