Are you sure this hugger won't fit a 650S, and will only fit a 650K3?

Ok, so maybe I'm a bit thick, but how can having a fairing on the front of a bike affect whether or not you can fit a hugger to the rear of a SV650S?

I can see a possible problem on any K4/5/6 because of the toolbox thingy poking down (not really looked to see but I hear they're different), but surely a 650K3 and a 650SK3 are exactly the same at the rear end?

Unfortunatley they are different. I learnt the hard way!! In suzuki's wizdom the swing arms are slightly different between the SV650 and the S on the K3 anyway. I believe the lengths are the same but for some reason the S has one fixing location on the opposite side to the chain and the other has two. I think thats the right way round anyway

Really, how odd. In my experience most Suzukis are parts bin specials, with commonality of parts between a variety of different models. It makes life so much simpler when you know a certain wheel is the same as a completely different model's.

It's most unusual for them to do this kind of thing, which is why there are fairing mounts on naked SV and Bandit frames.

I just checked the microfiche, same part number for K3 swingarm on naked and S model - 61000-17G00

Somehow I didn't think Suzuki would make 2 different swingarms for the same year model of bike, just because one has a half fairing.
