The TL1000s!!!!

Having binned my sv into the side of a skoda who just didnt see me after only 5 months of hassle I have finally got my insurance money through. That meant that I no longer have to borrow my old mans piece of cr4p 2002 boneville (sorry if you have one but the brakes are appalling and comfort is something you expect from a cruiser and it had none and it couldnt handle motorways) and I can afford to get myself whatever bike I wanted. After a fair amount of deliberation I settled on another v-twin, having ridden a couple of il4's i dont think they are for me. the next question was size. I wanted something more powerfull than the sv cause i was thrashing it all the time and I felt like i needed more. Couldnt have an italian one cause its got to get me to work and back and they just fall to pieces in the rain and firestorm didnt feel quite right even though it would probably have been a more sensible choice. Anyway I finally settled on this little beauty. Pics are from ebay I havnt taken any of my own cause I only got her today.

An original 1997 TL1000S putting out 117.0BHP at the rear wheel (or so the dyno would have me believe). Its got a carbon fibre hugger, air scoops and clock surround, micron end cans (which i need to get baffles for MY GOD ARE THEY LOUD), ohlins rear shock and fork internals and a whole bunch more stuff that i cant think of right now.

So pleased to be back on a V and be sitting in the right position on the bike. Still got a whole bunch of parts from my sv going if anyone wants them - see sig

On another note I've got a kawasaki el 252/el 250-f2 which has a blown engine (suspect the big end has gone). If anyone wants it they can HAVE IT FOR FREE the only catch is you have to pick it up and you will need a trailer/van. pm me for more info, I need rid of it cause its taking up space.

Quote of the century "I binned my SV, so I got a TL"

I guess having had the experience it prepares you for the reputation of the TL!!!

Check out the size of that steering damper!!

It's a TL1000, I'd want one even bigger and more controllable.

Awesome bikes. Old man had one with twin carbon Arts and stearing damper. Said it was an animal.

Also went through rear tyres in under 900 miles, and he never hit the redline!

They make your body vibrate with some decent end cans. Awesome raw bikes.
