When are you guys going to meet at The Anchor again?

The other locations are a little far for me but can someone give me the link for The Ely location?

Cheers.

the anchor was lovely but a bit of a trek for me and eviltwin. could the anchor meet be the "alternative meet"? and please can we stick with the britannia (or other guildford) pub for the thursday guildford meet?[-o<

It's only 10 minutes up the road from Guildford on the A3 (If you don't get lost ;) )

But yeah, if we want to make it an "alternative" that's fine by me :) (Cause I hardly turn up anyway :D)

i know, but it's quicker (i think) for us to go back via the m25. either way it's prolly about a 45 min journey for us and the britannia is about 25 mins. also i'm normally pretty knackered having driven there from wales so a 25 min journey home after the pub is much nicer :D

How about we go with the britannia as are normal pub but go to the anchor sometimes when the weather is nice and just keep that as the thursday guildford meet?

Absolutely not for the alternative meet we made the Ely or Links the alternative to get away from Guildford as somewhere for the rest of us who don't live near to Guildford to go to

I agree DD the Ely or links should be kept or somewhere near to those of us that don't live in Guildford I.e me and Falc, Dan and some others

I don't agree that the Anchor should be the alternative meet as its a bit for out for us!!

Thats true too

but since they have done the Restaurant up we will prob most likely be outside and the weather is very random.

just think we should stick to the brittania and the more local pubs then as DD said go to the anchor on a day if the weather is good and that way you can take the bike if you want make it more of a fun ride???

ignore me i'm in a funny mood today sorry if i don't make sense

i agree.

the britannia is the most ideal meeting point for everyone i think? it's easy for people in guildford and it's 17miles for tara, falc, eviltwin and me.

Yep agreed - the Briannia is handy for most us - i guess once Falc is up and about and i've done a refresher course we'll be out and about on the bike again and we'll get more motivated to go a bit further

I agree that the Britannia is good for a Guildford meet but would quite like to keep a pub nearer to the Berkshire/Hampshire massive for the alternative week. I'm happy to trundle along to the Anchor now and again but it won't be often as it's a bit far and a crap ride there (no kneedown opportunities)

I think it was said above that the Anchor would be a once in a while meet anyway. I'd like to go back on a sunny day :D when we actually turn up to a GM meet.

Right what we'll be doing is the alternative meet will be over falcs, taras and dans way i.e the ely or the links etc

the guildford meet will mainly be at the britannia but now and again it will be at the anchor on a nice sunny evening as we'll probably be in the garden there
