Metzler Z6s for me. They are so good that I have little interest in trying any other tyres (particularly Dunlops, after how spectacularly bad the stock D220s were).

Bridgestone BATTLAX BT020 or Metz Z'6s

Can't believe how much better the Z6's feel from the stock 220's. I'm sticking with them- they instill (not too much!!!) confidence I just didn't get from the Dunlops. Oh and they're great in the wet too..

Avon Azaros (now replaced by Storm ST) when I had mine, a K5. They worked for me. Not everyones cup of tea though.

I prefer round tyres to pointy ones

Any at all - so long as there not yellow.

Currently have a pair of Avon Storm ST's.

Damn fine things they are to, much more confident in the wet now than before i fitted them. mind you ive had an awfull lot of practice lately.

Bloody good tyres, got them on the Daytona and they're lasting really well, grip well too.

I wouldn't touch any Dunlops with a disinfected bargepole.

Prity much anything is an improvement on the standard tyres i recon dunlop make them out of recycled tractor tyres had a few bottom clenching moments with those not good at all. I had bridgestone 010s on my hornet 600 they where a nice tyre never had any problems with those at all and lasted quite well ive got bridgestone 020s on my sv 1000 but not had chance to get out on it yet so cant comment but they are meant to be a good tyre.
Ive got metzler z6s on my fazer 1000 and i must say i like them alot seem to warm up quick and inspire confidence they give me alot of feedback and they always feel planted.

You want go wrong with z6s or 020s hope this helps.

I used to swear by BT020s until I discovered Avon AV46/46STs. I fitted them to my sports-touring bikes until I discovered Michelin Pilot Road2s.

BT020s are ok, but there are better tyres for the same money, tyres that feel as confident on the road but last much longer. I never was impressed by how long BT020s lasted or their wet weather grip - had the rear tyre spin up in the wet too many times on moderate throttle openings with them.

As tyres go, BT020s are very dated.

The 020 has been replaced by the 021 which is another dual compound tyre, I have them on the Sprint; about 1000 miles on them so far and very happy with them.

stuck a BT021 on the back on my Falco and i really like it, very confidence inspiring inc in the wet.
did not like the pirelli diablos which i have on my SV, the front gets a bit twichy as it wears.

4000 hard miles on a Daytona 955i and not even half worn yet. Grip well enough to give me confidence to knee-down when i feel like it

As above, PR2s or Z6's. Leaning more towards PR2s than Z6 tho.

I've heard of litre bikes going touring in Europe & getting 5000 miles out of them happily. An SV650 will eat far less rubber than any litre bike.

I've got a D208 on the back of my ZX7 and a D207 on the front, and they're fine. Not desperately cheap for what it is, but it's grippy enough in the dry for a proper hoon, grippy enough on track for peg-down (doesn't work on grass though), and acceptable in the wet, unless you're a bit heavy handed.

Yes, there are no doubt better tyres, but until my set wear out together, I'll stick with what's on there, as they work fine.
