hello all,

just thought I'd do the polite thing and introduce myself first before I go around annoying you with my questions and comments...

If you want some personal details, check my profile, all I want you to know is there :p:clown:

As for my bikes, I am currently at #4. My fist bike was a XJ600S Diversion back in 2004 and after I got down the basics of riding I upgraded to an XJ900S and left the 600 to my girlfriend.

Unfortunately the big Diversion had a close encounter with some young punk in a VW/Vauxhall Golf GTI that didn't bother to look when he made a u-turn coming out of his parking spot. :smt013

So I (or rather his insurance) replaced it with a TDM900 in November 2005. It now has 50.000km and it will still remain my main bike as it has everythinbg I want: comfort, great fuel economy, enough grunt throughout the rev range, light steering, ...

But lately I have been doing some more track days and it started bothering me that if anything happened to the TDM on the track I would be without transportation (I don't own a car). So I started looking for a nice track bike. With my expectations (light, twin, cheap, ...) the choice was quickly made and I bought myself a 2001 SV650S. It is bright yellow and in excellent condition

It just needs a new chain and sprockets and probably in time, when budget allows, a suspension upgrade (tips are welcome, although I noticed there are already a number of topics on the subject).

I'm not sure yet whether I will be putting it to road use, but I will definitely be using it at the next track day in Croix-en-Ternois.
\\:D/:riding:

So there you have it. See you guys around.

Hey man, I grew up in Moorsel near Tervuren, so I have been out in Leuven many a time! Welkom!

There are some excellent touring roads just south of Tervuren, near Overijse, Hoeilaart and further south towards Waterloo and Rixensart. Were you already riding at the time?

Leuven is excellent to live in as well :clown:

I'm not nuts!

But i was made in a factory that also contains nuts so there is no way to guarantee no traces of nuts remain.

No I'm afraid I was growing up there and got my license in the UK. I did get a 50 crosser once and rode it for about 3 miles before getting pulled by the rijkswacht and fined rather heavily though! My parents still live there, my Dad rides a Guzzi Breva 1100 if you see that around, its pretty rare. I'd say going south to Dinant has gotta be the nicest place to ride bikes, all round the Ardennes!

So Leuven hey? My favourite bars are Chaos snooker hall, Professor for a cocktail and then the rock cafe! (Or The Place before it shut down!). :smt035
