View Full Version : Can't go out on my bike...
as I'm ill and feeling really flaky, gutted cos I want to get it run in and I've only managed 200 miles since Sat. 400 still to go!
So frustrating as I'm really enjoying it even tho it's only a little 125!!

Just wait 'til it's run in and you get access to that heady power further up the rev range ;)
Hehe, but seriously I remember reading that you'd got it. Finding it any more comfortable/easier to control than the bigger bike on the few miles you've done?

Definitely! I'm having a great time mucking around on it :D
50 is my max speed so far lol...really need to concentrate on getting some practise around town tho in preparation for my test...there's a few iffy junctions round here that I've been practising on but I need to work on u-turns and control at low speeds which is where the size and weight of the bike seem to be more noticable!

Practice makes perfect, no substitute for it. As you say, keep yourself in and around the areas you'll need to be doing a test and pretend you're under test conditions all the time. Might help you keep out of bad habits. I had problems when I sat my test as I'd been riding for 1 1/2 years on L plates and had got out of the 'jump through the hoops' mentality.
At least once it's done you can do three point U-turns for the rest of your biking career if you want to ;)

That must be awful...it's horrible not being able to do something you love. Well hopefully you'll turn out to be one of those people who recover amazingly quickly and we might just have a better year weather wise next year :D

Well I'm one of those masochistic people who will keep at something until it comes right, I try not to avoid things I find difficult...so hopefully I'll manage to keep the bad habits at bay!
Well I'm too little to paddle my bike well so if i have to do 3 pointers they'll be on foot lol

That's one thing I'm glad I don't have to do anymore. Have the strength, just crap technique which is what it's all about. I will happily sit on the bike and wheel it about that way to disguise my ineptitude, and gods knows I've been riding long enough to have learned by now. I'll get it some day
