It's gonna be mega!!!
Mods, move to racing thread if need be - i just felt it more appropriate here as its not technically about the racing?

Last time i went to Brands Carl Fogarty was racing. I must admit it isnt the best track for spectating, think I'll watch it on the telly with a few tinnies :smt004

Cant beat WSBK atmosphere at brands though - specialy if JT can stick the bike on the top step of the podium!

it's only a possiblity, or else I'll be joining you lot.
I go sunburnt last time I sat on paddock hill bend.:smt004
Yep I'll be going with my mate from the US, he's made up a reason to visit the UK just so he can go!
Jelster isn't going, but I think Rich is going, no idea where we'll be standing though.

Oh Dear! Next time use some more sunblock...:p
I like sitting at Paddock during WSBK coz at least you have the big screen there as well so you dont miss any of the action:D

I'm going! Was going to be camping (It's £20 for the WHOLE weekend!), but looks like I will be in a hotel now just down the road!
I also have paddock passes for both paddocks for the weekend, so I am over the moon! Will prob be on Paddock Hill, if I don't win Grandstand seats.
P.S I thought it was the best track going for spectating, esp on paddock hill where you can see loads of action! Beats Silverstone and Donny hands down!

Jelster isn't going....
'Tis true, in fact I will be at Silverstone that weekend :driving:
On thursday 2nd August they have a "meet the team" and open paddock event. That is normally quite good.
I'll dig out the details and post it on here if anyone is interested.
It DEFINITELY IS the best for spectating in the UK - you can see all of the indy track from the grandstand - have you been to Silverstone or Thruxton, ha ha !!!

Anyone else planning on going?

possibly as it wont be as expensive as the invasion of the valleys i pulled out of due to lack of funds
Might be an idea for those of us not getting hospitality tickets or grandstand tickets, sitting with the plebs, to perhaps try and get together...perhaps even watch the racing together if peeps are up for it? I'd certainly be up for something like that coz I'll be wearing the "billy-no mates" shirt for that day:cool:

I should be going along with some of the lads from work. I think I last went for WSB in '05 - glorious hot summers day it was - just so long as it's warmer than BSB at Silverstone earlier this year I'll be happy .. brrrr

Pah, I dnot think I'm going now. Not sure if I can afford it, and my dad is dithering about going (I really dont want to go on my own, I know I'll get lost trying to find brands once I'm off the motorway)
Do cheer extra loud to make up for my absence, folks

You're kidding right!
First off, you wont be alone...ther will be a few thousand other peeps there as well:p ... I'll bet that you wont be the only "billy no mates" there...(see my earlier post)
Secondly, the track is well signposted off J3 of the M25 so you wont get lost...just follow the 10 000 other bikes and cars off at the junction and you'll be fine:smt077

Not very...
Will anyone be at the circuit for this on thursday?
Okay,
Went down there with my daughter...saw loads of riders...lots of autographs being signed etc.
But why oh why do some grown-ups act like kids when they get close to the riders...???
Totally p1ssed me off when some blokes started moving kids out the way so they could get to the posters and then started on the kids parents when they said something:-s Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be incident free and people will actually start behaving themselves:rolleyes:

Okay...but so will many others:smt012
So who will be there tomozz? I'll be the fat bloke wearing the khaki shorts, green t-shirt with the words "keen naturist" on the front, brown oakley shades and brown leather hat sitting by his lonesome on a blue deckchair with a white tesco cooler bag next to me at paddock hill bend...

I'll be there, should be getting down ~10:30, need to buy tickets on the gate so a bit of a queue maybe. will probably end up between the left-handers after graham hill - they usually have a big screen down there - for at least the first race
the forecast looks cracking - bbc says 30C - I'll be taking the fazer with hard luggage to stash my gear in so that I can walk round in some sensible summer clothing rather than melting
in full leathers, boots, etc. (like last time)

today was brilliant!

Right, have a good day everyone!
I was sat at paddock...a few feet from the manx flag down by the fence...was bloody hot but really good racing...just wish they'd have organised something on track for the 90min between WSS and WSBK race...I'm pickled a little pink but not sore...been slopping on sunscreen all day...only took me 12min to get from where I had parked at druids to my front door which is near bluewater....result!
I was sitting at druids, same deal, but I got stuck in traffic on the M25, took me about 1 hour to get home (in the car) to Surrey.

Yeah, I was in the car as well but didn't have to go near the m25.

Our manky old race van knows the way there without us giving it any input. Just jump in, shut the doors, start the engine and shout "Brands" and off it jolly well goes :) (we do seem to do a lot of racing there)
