What an absurd suggestion ;)
After many an anxious look at the sky...which looked a reasonable shade of blue i decided to risk it. Of course it started raining and typically i hadn't bothered to switch a visor from another lid with anti-mist.
Funny thing was i persuaded a mate to get his kwak clean gixer out, as i assured him it would not rain. Both bikes are now pretty dirty and i may have lost a friend :p
We headed towards Oxford via Stokenchurch and any route that looked remotely twisty. As we got closer though, there was more and more standing water and even streams pouring across the road. Finally i had enough of the endless stream of profanity in my headset and we headed back but still much fun was had.....connatations of Rossi etc
Bring on Foxes on Sunday!
What an absurd suggestion ;)
thought you'd like my idea

You do know it's predicted heavy rain on Sunday.
Sunny on Saturday though. :)

I really should change my weatherman...i thought today was meant to be the worst day this week, followed by saturday that would have a few showers. I thought Sunday was meant to be pretty sunny with sporadic light showers.
Or it could just be that we have better weather in the Thames Valley area, than you GM ruffians ;)
Unless its monsoon time i will probably be out regardless. I wasn't keen on getting out in the wet yesterday evening, but in the end i really enjoyed it!

....and they are supposed to be able to predict the weather 50 years into the future when we will all be 20ft under water and all the polo bears(sic) will be gone, the ice has melted before and the polo bears are still here hehehehe! They can't even predict the weather any where near accurately 24 hrs into the future....bunch of overpaid idiots!
I know where they can stuff their multi-million pound super computers and their climate models....right where the sun never shines and push hard! :smt104
Buy an electronic weather machine, local temperature, pressure and relative humidity, thats all you need. Cost about £39-109 depending on model, they can predict local weather way more accurately than the met office do! If it says rain it will rain and if it says fine twill be fine, accurate virtually 7 days a week... can't say that about Michael Fishes forecasts!

I really should change my weatherman...
"yes were going to have sun and clear sky's with the odd outbreak of rain with maybe some thunder?, the snow is looking threatening so beware of that, floods in some areas with the odd tornado popping up hear and their but all in all it looks like a good weekend install for most of us"

Don't tell us... there's a conspiracy in there somewhere isn't there? Who is it this time, the oil companies or the government? :D

In the Chesterfield area of north east derbyshire the RJ forecast.
The pressure has risen from a low of 994 yesterday to a high of 1005 this morning and has stabilised.
Although observing the skies it looks like a possible heavy shower today, the weather machine is only showing sun so by tomorrow and possibly through into Sunday it should be fine in this area. That sort of weather doesn't come in small packets so expect Saturday and Sunday to be fine in the north derbyshire and south yorkshire areas. The machine predicts the weather 12 to 36 hours into the future!
If the pressure nose dives and the machine says rain I'll let you know but looking at the pressure trend its looking very hopeful even though the pressure is still slightly low, 1013 is normal!
Now lets see who gets it right Mr Fishy wishy!!!:smt104

Conspiracy mate?
Nah just plain lies that anyone can prove by a little simple research!
The ice sheets that are melting, the last time they did that in the arctic and opened up the north west passage to shipping was when? 1905 or thereabouts and that was before the industrial revolution and its pollution so what caused that??
The ice caps on Mars are melting too (none seasonal), we didn't cause that!!
Been working all week around these flood issues including out and about during the night down by the river etc - didn't get wet once :) .
Back to day job yesterday, went down town for lunch and... got soaked :smt104 :(

I got caught in a cloud burst at 70 on a dual carriageway yesterday and I must say the SV was solid as a rock, made me feel very safe. No misfires, grippy tyres Dunlop 220's?? Brakes worked brilliantly considering the 1" of standing water in the braking zone! Stable 100%.... :)

There's a band of cloud expected over the country Sat night, another 30 hours away yet, but its very clear behind it so its still looking good for Sunday.
Going out Saturday night...which incidentally is an exceptionally rare occasion...we will have our raincoats...

It certainly looked like it was going to throw it down a few times but did it? Nope! Not a drop! The weather machine gives victory salute!
Pressure 1017 flat as a pancake and machine say's sunny no cloud! Get those bikes out of mothballs all you Northerners! Tomorrows looking good!:D
