Hello to all.
Newbie here.
Got a quick question.
I bought a new K6 sport in june this year and i have noticed that the heel plates have worn through the paint/lacquer and are now down to the base metal.:(
Has anybody else come across this , and do you know if Suzuki will replace them under warranty? Cos they now look damn ugly.

Dont know about replacing them under warrenty, but my SV (K3) heel plates were the same - I just polished them up. Used 800 grade wet/dry paper, moving to 1500 grade, then a final polish with Autosol. The have a mirror finish now - but you have to keep on top of it!

Hi
I wear sidi vertebre boots.
This is the first time i've come across this problem my old R6 had done 30K+ miles with standard heel plates and they were still like new.
It appears the probablem is possibly down to suzuki poor finishing?
I'll ask my dealer if he can do anything if he can't then i'll repaint and laquer them myself.

Black rains here too and yup, took about 1500 miles for them to wear down to the metal.
If it really bothers you, there are a few sellers of stainless ones on ebay
